Artifact ●

Shortly after her becoming, fate and her own inner voice led Ashes to the tomb-Manse where her last soul-self's tools of destruction lay. Neatly arranged and in perfect condition, these Artifacts are now back in the hands of their latest rightful owner.

Contacts ●

Even though she was a fine enough merc, forging contacts amongst her fellows was difficult to say the least. Still, a wily fellow in the twilight of his career by the name of Mad Red was more than happy to keep in touch with her, and the two make a point of sharing a coffee (and in a couple of instances, a bed) whenever they're both in the same general area. Red, a merc pushing forty, earned his nickname for his nigh-insane attempt to take down a Dragon-Blood during a horribly-botched defense job. He managed to wound the Outcaste, but lost his left eye and the use of his right arm in the bargain. Still, he brags about having survived the encounter, and even with one good arm is a noteworthy swordsman... if a bit touched in the head. He never was the same after that fateful day...
  • Mad Red, the One-Armed Bandit

Manse ●●

Both Manse and tomb, the Setting Sun Bastion is an octagonal tower half-submerged into the sandy ground of the near-Wyld South. Within, sand pours, falls and swirls about in almost artistic patterns, somehow carrying the light of the sun with them into the tower during the day. Within, the structure is simple, if geomantically sound, and houses both the tomb of Ashes' last incarnation as well as the dais holding the Manse's hearthstone.
  • Rating ●● Solar Hearthstone [Sunspark Gem (found here)], socketed in Clasps of Kings

Resources ●●

A mercenary's life is one of harsh tasks, but fair pay, and Ash has enough sense to save more than she spends, since one never knows when emergencies may arise.
  • Tem Copperpot's blade
  • Various travel supplies
  • Flask of cheap rum
  • Iron breastplate
