Body Shifting Mesh

Power: 4
Usefullness: 4
Series Impact: 3
Script Immunity: 2
Attunement: 10, 1 mote activation
Final Artifact Level: 4

This item looks rather like a fishnet outfit that a person would wear. This is only when it is unattuned though. When attuned it greatly enhances a persons ability at infiltraction and deception by providing a powerful shapeshifting advantage.

At the cost of a single mote to activate after attunement the character my make himself look just like any other person he has seen. When changing looks a person can also duplicate an outfit. This is a shapeshifting effect and the person feels, looks and sounds just like the real thing. Their own attributes except for appearance are used, with appearance being the same level as that of the person they are mimicing. The suit also provides a minor soak enhancement, adding 3 to both lethal and bashing soak with no fatigue or mobility penalties and does not interfere with charms which can not be used with armor.

There are limitations on what a person can mimic though. They can not change sex. Clothing made can not be removed or taken off. A weapon that is sheathed(and normal weapon can not be made) can not be drawn. Only humans can be copied. The person can not appear naked, as the moonsilver mesh will be visable. Armor can not be created.

While powerful in the hands of any exalt, it was designed in the first age by the No Moons for the Waning Moon caste and Lunars in general and given their allready powerful shapeshifting abilities and natural skill at it builds upon those powers.

Several additional powers are gained when a lunar is attuned to it. Their tell has its difficulty to spot moved to the next lower level of Tell. A lunar can change sex with this artifact. It can hide their tattoos assuming peripheral essence doesn't cause them to glow. The appearance of armor can be duplicated but not its soak. Since it also gains strength from the shapeshifting nature of the lunar a lunar can seem to take off pieces of clothing with this. A glove might be removed and so long as part of the lunar's body is touching it there is no problem. Pieces can not be seperated from the lunar though.
