Pillar's Intro

>> The lands that surround The Lap. A fertile area, which allows it to serve as one of the major breadbaskets of the region, nevermind the greater Realm itself. Of course, such an area runs afoul of a spirit every now and then, as do other areas around here. Which is what brings you out here on this beautiful afternoon, instead of working within your Manse.

Five Pillars is walkling along the road, staff in hand, in the robes of an Immaculate.

>> As you walk, in all of your Immaculate glory towards the town of The Lap, you see a flicker, for the barest of moments, in front of you. Then another flicker out of the corner of your eye. At the same time, the wind itself begins to pick up around you.

Five Pillars pauses a moment, and then looks out, with Eyes that Capture Essence, And not merely light, tracing the flows of essence in all living things.

>> Your intuition serves you well, as your essence enhanced sight picks out a spirit forming in front of you, taking a decidedly feminine shape as the winds continue to blow. She giggles for a moment, bowing. "I mean you no harm, my dear sir. Your reputation for dealing with my kind is well known."

Five Pillars says "And your name? And title, of course. Surely one of your considerable talents has a title of some import."

Five Pillars is talking to the air, of course. It's a good thing he's considered a holy man, or he'd be considered insane.

>> She giggles some more, flying around you and looking you up and down. "Syla. I'm not much for titles though. Too formal for my tastes. If you must know, however, Blessed Wind is one of them." She flies right up your face, tilting her head before turning upside down as she looks at you. "Hm. And you are Five Pillars, correct?"

Five Pillars says "Five pillars was the mortal acolyte to Ragara Miln. He died several years ago. Only I remain."

>> She rolls her eyes, shaking her head. "Mmhmm. As you say. I'm not here for idle chitchat with one who has hurt a few of my friends however. A dear friend of mine asked me to relay an offer to you, which is the only reason why I'm here, so you should feel pretty lucky!"

Five Pillars smiles. "Come, now. I'm sure a lady as pretty and beautiful as yourself knows who I am, and what I'm about."

He says, "Gently Falling Water was intentinally withholding rain from three villages. Who'll be left ot pray to you at all, if she keeps that sort of thing going on?"

Five Pillars tsks. "However. Please, I would not keep you from delivering your message."

>> She giggles. "Flattery will get you everywhere, dear sir. Maybe later, though." Her hand reaches over to brush your cheek for a moment as she draws close. "Well, she was a bit out of line, I give you that. I thank you for dealing with that for me. At any rate. An offer from a man currently living in The Lap, by the name of Soran. He is requesting your help, along with certain others like you, to help deal with the Realm's grip on the town and the oppression of those feeding it. He doesn't expect you to do it for free, of course, and will aid you in any way he can if you help him." She winks. "And he knows /full well/ of your little pad, and the truth about you. He's out collecting another one, and three others are almost arrived as well."

Five Pillars says "Pretty girls should speak less, unless they speak words that warm the hearts of eager young wind spirits. Or mortals." He nods. "I shall at least listen to what he has to say."

He grins. "Speaking of your wind spirits ... Southern Zephyr Prince was but lately bemoaning his lack proper foes, having subjugated the local wind spirit courts. He claims no woman will ever be his equal, in charms, war, or in beauty."

Five Pillars sighs, heavily. "Poor fellow."

>> She pouts. "You have a problem with my voice, dear sir? Anyways, the meeting place is the Half Past Inn, in three days. Ask for his name, and it should work out." She raises an eyebrow, spinning rightside up and leaning back as she crosses her arms. "Is that so? Hmph."

Five Pillars nods. "Indeed he did. He might be getting ready to try to make a bid for a promotion."

He says "And your voive, my dear is lovely. You should not sully it with talk of things as ... Earthy and dirty as a manse that is surely in the imagination of some people."

Five Pillars contemplates the will of the Dragons, and the Incarna. Well. This Storen is obviously up to no good. However. Blessed Wind should be able to put him in his place. Back to the Lap it must be, then. After these long years apart.

She giggles, shaking her head. "You are a joy to speak to, my dear sir. A joy indeed. I'll look into what you say, at any rate." She winks. "And of course, good sir. Of course. How silly of me. Is there any other gems of information you wish to impart?"

Five Pillars considers. "I would tell you of your beauty, but then, I suspect, I would begin to bore you, as no doubt many have already done so. And I would tell you of your cleverness, but ... it is, no doubt a secret." He grins. "Farewell, Blessed Wind." He bows, formally. "And may the Wind ever be with you."

>> She nods once. "So polite and well mannered as well. You're a keeper." She leans in close as if you kiss you, then is gone in an instant, leaving you alone as the wind dies down.

Five Pillars turns his steps toward the Lap. A fair distance, on foot. But he is not worried. He swings through a small farming village or two on the way there, unhurried.

>> And so, with the wind at your back, and something lurking in the future, you head on.

INTRO END
