Terror of the Seas

  • Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 4
  • Prerequisite Charms: Persistent Loli Sail Augmentation

When this Charm is activated, all those who see the ship the Lolita is standing on see it as the most awesome naval battleship, haloed by strange lights and manned by the meanest badasses of the seas, led by the greatest badass of them all: the Gothic Lolita; even if it’s a rickety old piece of wood held together by worn-out nails and crewed by the sweepings of the local port. For the remainder of the scene, characters must succeed on the reflexive Valor roll to attack the ship or its crew.

Ballerina of the Seas

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Sail: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 1
  • Prerequisite Charms: Sail Insight of the Lolita

By drawing on the memories of the lost souls of the drowned who now roam the seas of the Underworld, the Lolita gains unmatched experience to guide her movements on a ship. This Charm removes up to her Moe in external penalties from appropriate battle, social, dramatic and military actions. This includes penalties directly related to the naval environment, such as fog and the rolling ship. In addition, the Gothic Lolita’s swift movements make it difficult for others to defend themselves: they take a penalty to their defensive pools equal to the Lolita’s Moe. Characters using this Charm are also completely immune to seasickness.

Robes of the Zephyr

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: One day
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Sail: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Ballerina of the Seas

The wind carries the words of the drowned, guiding her choices and protecting her from the dangers they feel victim to. While this Charm is in effect, the Lolita has perfect balance and may effortlessly stride about the deck or scurry up rigging without requiring a roll, even in the middle of a howling typhoon or on impact with a submerged reef. The rest of the crew may fly overboard from the impact or lashing winds, but the Lolita stands eerily unruffled. Characters using this Charm are also completely immune to seasickness.

Sustaining on the Seas of Darkness

  • Cost: 1 mote per 4 mortals, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: One sday
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Ballerina of the Seas

With a long speech, the Gothic Lolita summons the dark Moe of the Underworld and the forces of decay, wielding them together with her own life force to reduce her crew’s need for food and rest. If there are rats or other vermin aboard, their life force is absorbed into powering the Charm, reducing the Charm’s cost to 1 mote per six crewmen. This side effect steadily kills off all pests. Unless a ship is very large or much infested, it takes two or three applications of this Charm to completely eradicate all vermin aboard.

A sailor ensorcelled with Sustaining on the Seas of Darkness needs only a quarter of the food, drink and rest that she normally does. She does not suffer from scurvy or other dietary deficiencies from substandard rations and feels unusually enervated. Long-term exposure is dangerous, however. If this Charm is used on a character for more days than her Stamina, each successive day reduces her Stamina by one dot. Characters reduced to zero Stamina die. Lost Stamina returns at the rate of one point per day. Only after a character has successfully recovered her Stamina can she be safely enchanted again. This Charm has no effect on Exalted or other magical beings and cannot be used except to sustain the crew and passengers of a ship.

Ship of Shadows Technique

  • Cost: 6 motes
  • Duration: One day
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Sail: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Sail Insight of the Lolita

The Gothic Lolita channels her Moe to patch the rips and tears of a damaged ship. She concentrates and raises her hand summoning the spirits of the shadows of long-sunk vessels, which wrap around the damaged target. Over the next 24 hours, the sail behaves as if undamaged and provides appropriate propulsion. This Charm cannot create a ship from nothing. At least some identifiable vestiges must remain.

Unnerving Miasma of Decay

  • Cost: 7 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Ship of Shadows Technique

By invoking this Charm, the Gothic Lolita exhales a black miasma that slowly rots and impedes the target vessel. The target ship, which must be within a mile of the Exalt, has its speed reduced by ten percent for every point of the Lolita’s permanent Moe and will remain at this reduced speed for a week. This Charm fails to work on any ships whose hulls are crafted from the Five Magical Materials or other imperishable Harem Age materials, though the Moe spent is still lost.

Gothic Navy Artillery Cannon

  • Cost: 10 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 4
  • Prerequisite Charms: Unnerving Miasma of Decay

The Gothic Lolita fires a spherical bolt of crackling darkness, charged with all her spite and ill will towards her target, which must be within half a mile or less. The Gothic Lolita’s player makes a Perception + Thrown roll at difficulty 3 to determine the accuracy of the blow. As she fires the bolt, it streaks towards its target, skipping across the surface of the water until it strikes.

The dark bolt does 5L structural damage per success scored by the player to any ship that it strikes and three health levels of aggravated damage (burns and shock) to any living beings within five yards of the point of impact. Human-size targets may attempt to dodge as they would a normal missile. The bolt can even be parried. If any living being fails to dodge, then it takes damage. This Charm only works on a body of open water. If attempted to be used while on land, the bolt grounds itself while leaping toward the target and it is lost.

Stinking Breath of the NeverCute

  • Cost: 7 motes
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Ship of Shadows Technique

The Gothic Lolita ominously stands on deck, arms upraised and crackling with electrifying Moe as she summons the cold Stinky Breath of the NeverCute. This wind only exists to propel her vessel and displaces all natural breezes for that purpose, but otherwise, it does not disturb the water or the wind for other ships (though they might hear its eerie howling……and its stinking smell). Ships so enchanted move as though the wind were full in their sails, regardless of the prevailing wind’s direction or the course set by the helmsman. The spectral wind has the same intensity as the winds around it, however, so ships sailing in a hurricane must still contend with the dangers of such a gale.

All creatures aboard must roll Stamina + Resistance at a difficulty of 2 to resist the amazingly putrid scent. Those who fail take a penalty of -2 to all rolls for the rest of the scene. Creatures not on the ship but close enough to detect the faint smell of grandma’s week-old socks and moss roll at standard difficulty. Even if they fails, the penalty is reduced to -1.

Death of the Sylphs Technique

  • Cost: 20 motes, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Robes of the Zephyr, Stinking Breath of the NeverCute

The Lolita stands on deck and concentrates, tracing a horizontal arc with her arms, as if disemboweling something. A spherical wave of Moe flashes out from the Loli’s arms to a radius of half a mile per dot of the character’s permanent Essence. This wave vanishes almost immediately, but its magic kills all winds inside its boundary. This artificial stillness moves with the Exalt and remains for one scene or until its creator dies. This Charm cannot the Stinking Breath of the NeverCute or other winds from the Underworld. It can’t also extinguish winds created by entities with a higher permanent Moe than the Lolita’s.

Moe Cruiser Prana

  • Cost: 1 mote per 1L soak, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Stinking Breath of the NeverCute

By laying hands against a ship and wishing to bless it with her perfect Moe, a Gothic Lolita with this Charm can mystically reinforce her vessel. The ship gains 1L soak per mote spent, although the Gothic Lolita cannot purchase more points of soak than her Stamina + Sail. This limit applies to all applications of the Charm in a scene. Only the first use of Moe Cruiser Prana on a given scene requires the Willpower expenditure. Hulls regularly treated with this Charm look bleached and more…”antique,” although they retain the durability of their true age.

Pulse of the Vessel's Veins

  • Cost: Varies, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: Special
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Moe Cruiser Prana

The Lolita extends her anima in the shape of gargantuan veins through the hull, infusing them with Moe and quickly caulking and patches breaches and split seams with it. Within moments, this energy calcifies into a durable material with the softness of silk and the consistency of bone. Repairing combat damage requires the Gothic Lolita to spend motes equal to the severity of damage. For non-combat repairs and general caulking, the Storyteller should assign a Moe cost based on the severity of damage and the ship’s size.

While this Charm can stave off certain destructing by sealing massive breaches, it does not remove handling penalties for water trapped in the hull. Such penalties remain until the water is pumped or bailed out normally.

This Charm resembles something requiring an intact hull to work. It cannot regenerate entire missing segments, let alone restore a ruined hulk. This Charm cannot repair ships of Harem Age design. This Charm lasts for a number of hours equal to the Lolita’s Moe in Creation, but if the ship enters a shadowland or the Underworld while the hull is so patched, the patches will endure so long as it does not leave that shadowland or the Underworld.

Juggernaut Vessel Technique

  • Cost: 10 motes, 2 Willpower
  • Duration: One day
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 4
  • Prerequisite Charms: Pulse of the Vessel's Veins

The Gothic Lolita channels Moe through the ship’s hull, sealing all breaks and gashes with translucent wisps of the Underworld’s shadows. Ships ensorcelled with this Charm act entirely as if whole, keeping out water and moving with their normal maneuverability and speed. All further damage is also similarly ignored for the Charm’s duration. Once the Charm’s protection ends, severely damaged vessels take on water and sink normally. This Charm can even restore a rotting hulk to full operation, so long as enough of the hulk remains to identify the ship. Ultimately, the Storyteller is the final arbiter of whether or not a ship retains enough substance to preserve. This Charm can affect First Age ships.

Reality Revision: Interdimensional Gothic Battlecruiser

  • Cost: 20 motes, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: (Moe) days
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Sail: 6
  • Minimum Moe: 7
  • Prerequisite Charms: Juggernaut Vessel Technique

The Gothic Lolita summons a dark, awe-inspiring version of the Interdimensional Fortresses that were the pride and joy of the Bishonen Navy of the Harem Age. The Gothic Battlecruiser is built with long, sleek trimaran hulls made of the frozen tears of the world’s cute girls, the Gothic Lolita’s Moe and the NeverCute’s boogers. The vessel has sweeping curves impossible to duplicate with wooden construction. The Battlecruiser is impossibly beautiful to behold, stylistically reminiscent of a bird of prey in flight. From stern to stern, each of the three hulls measure 60 yards long, though the outer hulls are six yards in the beam compared with the 10-yard beam of the center hull. Paddlewheels drive assemblies hang between each hull.

The Gothic Lolita takes the captain’s seat on the middle of the center hull and takes complete command of the vessel. From her seat she mentally directs orders to move the ship, which can sail the seas as easily as it may fly through the air. She can also command the ship’s integrated weapon systems. The Gothic Lolita loses a die on all Sail dice pools, representing the inherent difficulty of controlling such a complex vessel.

Finally, the Gothic Lolita can use the Battlecruiser to sail to Neo-Yu-Shan, Ralph’Malfeas or a specific location in Oniboshi. However, as soon as they arrive, the Lolita and every other character on the ship have a minute to leave before the vessel disappears in a blinding flash of Moe.

Soulsteel Coating Defense

  • Cost: 8 motes, 1 health level
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Moe Cruiser Prana

With a sudden exclamation and a clap of her hands, the Gothic Lolita preserves her ship, sending a powerful wave of Moe that shapes into a mighty metal coating that protects the ship. She invokes in Charm in response to an attack on the ship: whether by a ramming enemy, a reef’s cutting edge of the tentacles of a perverted underwater beast. She must be on the ship at the time. This Charm perfectly negates the attack, guaranteeing a post-soak damage of 0.

Soulsteel Hull Chaining Method

  • Cost: 4 motes
  • Duration: Indefinite
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Sail: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Soulsteel Coating Defense

The character invokes this Charm in response to an attack that would shatter or sink her vessel. This Charm holds the ship together as long as the character remains on board and keeps the Moe committed. If the ship takes even one level of damage, it will fall apart, although the character may use this Charm again (maintaining multiple commitments) or other Charms to defend it.

Comments

There should probably be a charm that lets her call up ghosts to crew a ship, or possibly one that raises a sunken ship and staffs it with the ghosts of the old crew, I think. --JohnBiles
