Strength: Damage Enhancement Charms

Grasping Tendrils of the Void

Cost: 4 motes, 1 Willpower, Mins: Strength 3, Essence 2, Type: Simple (Speed 4)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Gift, Obvious, Mirror (Claws of the Silver Moon, pg 144)
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: None

Oblivion's touch lingers at the fingers of the Nihil, begging to be released. Upon activation of this Charm, the character's fingers become inky and translucent, taking on a greyish-black sheen even as they fade from sight. This makes it difficult to see the exact progress of the character's natural attacks, increasing their Accuracy by +2 and removing the usual 2-die bonus from enemies if the character attempts to re-establish surprise without appropriate cover. If the character possesses other natural attacks, she may spend 1 mote to enhance them as well.

At Essence 3, the power of this Charm is enhanced. The character may spend two additional motes to cause her tendril-like fingers to stretch and sway, allowing her to make unarmed attacks up to a range of (Strength) yards away. At Essence 4, she may spend another two motes to cause her attack to become Piercing, and increase its Damage rating by her Dexterity. These options may be activated together or seperately.

When the Nihil activates All-Consuming Void Transformation, she may commit two motes to add the basic bonuses of this Charm to her natural attacks. She may spend one additional mote per benefit to add the other two benefits as well.

Cruel Truths Gifted To The Weak

Cost: 2 motes, Mins: Strength 4, Essence 2, Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-OK, Affinity, Mirror (Impressions of Strength, pg 144)
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Any Strength Excellency

The powers of the Nihilic Exalted are corrosive, and their attacks are never as direct as they seem. This Charm supplements an attack, to which the character may apply one of the following edges:

 • Corrosive Touch: The target's soak is reduced by four dice, to a minimum of 0 dice.
 • Chill Strike: If the target takes damage, her next action or flurry takes a -2 die penalty.
 • Draining Void's Touch: The target loses one mote for every post-soak die of damage she takes. If the target cannot use motes, she instead loses one Willpower for every three motes she would have lost, rounding up. If the target has no remaining motes, this power does not function.
 • Walls Cannot Defend: Ignore the target's Hardness.
 • Deadly Power of the Void: Damage dice that show 10s count as two successes.

The Charm provides one edge initially. Characters may purchase additional edges for one bonus point or two experience points each. At Essence 4, the character may apply two edges (or the same edge twice) for four motes, and at Essence 5 the character can spend six motes for three applications.

If the character has Affinity with her target, she may spend an additional mote (for a total of three) during Step 7 of combat resolution to activate this Charm reflexively, without it counting as her Charm use for the action. This may not be done repeatedly at Essence 4 or above.

Every Flower Wilts

Cost: 3 motes, Mins: Strength 4, Essence 2, Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-OK, Stackable, Obvious, Mirror (Shell-Crushing Atemi, Pg 145)
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Cruel Truths Gifted To The Weak

Even the strongest armor is no protection against the unerring power of the Void. This Charm supplements an attack against any individual. If the attack hits, roll the Nihil's (Strength + Essence). Apply an external penalty of -1 if the target is wearing exceptional armor, -2 if they are wearing perfect armor, and -3 if they are wearing magical armor. Every net success reduces the armor's Bashing soak, Lethal soak, and Hardness by 1. Nonmagical armor is reduced permanently, while Magical Material armor recovers at the end of the scene. This effect is in addition to normal damage; armor soak reductions apply after the attack is finished, not during it.

Eternal Wound Imposition

Cost: 4 motes, Mins: Strength 4, Essence 3, Type: Simple (Speed 5)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Sickness, Affinity
Duration: Indefinite
Prerequisite Charms: Cruel Truths Gifted To The Weak

As the character strikes home, the power of Oblivion in her touch conveys itself to her enemy. Any damage dealt by this Charm cannot be healed for as long as the character keeps the motes committed. Charms that cause natural healing must spend one additional Willpower per health level to be healed.

If the character has Affinity with her victim, she may imbue her wounds with the certainty of Oblivion. The target must spend one Willpower in order to benefit from any natural healing, in addition to the normal increased cost.
