Chosen of Mysteries

Greys are keepers of things lost to history, they are the ones to chronicle the ages of the dead. Chosen of Mysteries ensure that the knowledge of the dead stays forever seperated from that of the living. It is their duty to keep the unsolvable unsolved and the unanswerable unanswered. It is thanks to them that things are allowed to pass entirely from the memory of all living things.

Caste Markings

The eyes of a Chosen of Mysteries are steel gray and their pupils are misted with grey clouds giving the impression of a storm raging in a clear night sky. The Sign of Mysteries glows bright gray on the forehead of the Chosen when Peripheral Essence is expended.

Anima Effect

By spending 10 motes, a Forgetter can invoke the Lesser Sign of Mysteries and force outward a wave of forgetfulness and arcane Essence. Those standing within the character's Essence x 10 yards are shrouded from the eyes of Heaven as if they stood outside Fate and, additionally, gain the benefits and burdens of Arcane Fate so long as they remain in the pool of grey light.

Auspicious Abilities

The Forgetters have a natural association with those abilities tied to their House: Investigation, Larceny, Lore, Occult and Stealth. They can easily command fates bound to the Dark Constellations of the Owl, the Lock, the Ruin, the Temple and the Ghost.
