The exalt hardens his body against the world by sheer force of artificing. Underlaying his skin with a fine mesh of magical material and working it through his tissues, he becomes resilient to everything. The exalt now may soak bashing, lethal and lethal with their full stamina, and aggravated with half-stamina. This counts as natural soak. In addition, the artifact grants a magical material bonus if fully attuned:

Jade - Jade versions of the artifact attune for two motes less.
Moonsilver - add two dice to stealth rolls.
Starmetal - Gain a +2 appearance in the eyes of gods.
Orichalcum - the character also gains hardness equal to stamina.
Soulsteel - unarmed attacks now do lethal damage.
