Aoshi (Storm Crow Style)

- To the death(ish).
Tick -1
Transitory Ardent Assimilator and Aoshi Join Battle!
TAA gets 6 successes, Aoshi gets 5.

(Speed 6 DV -1) (Total Distance: 53 yards)

The invisible Alchemical activates an Array to flurry three golden gyrochakrams at Aoshi. He starts to glow as the giant bladed cogwheels spin towards their target in broad arcs, spitting up snow flurries into the Sidereal's face to confuse and distract her.
Aoshi tries to parry but is caught by surprise with the first attack which slices across her arm, but manages to just barely knock aside the remaining two.

Tick 6
Transitory Ardent Assimilator, now with his Optic Shroud broken, changes tactics and activates his Personal Gravity Manipulation Apparatus, and tweaks the settings to become a mere 15% of his normal weight. He continues to guard against the Stormcrow and moves in for the kill at a greatly enhanced rate.
(Speed 3 DV -0, Move 14 yards) (Total Distance: 39 yards)
Tick 7
Aoshi takes stock of the rapidly approaching Alchemical and throws her starmetal Vajra spiralling through the air towards him.
The Champion pushes the javelin down between his legs causing it to miss, as he activates his Parabolic Leap Overcharger Device. In a flurry of leaping action he closes the distance between them and tries to grab Aoshi in a clinch as he lands in a cloud of snow.
Aoshi activates Gale-Riding Meditation and successfully floats 8 yards away without getting caught.
(Aoshi Speed 5, DV -1) (TAA Speed 5 DV -2) (Total Distance: 8 yards)

Tick 12
Seeing her chance, the Chosen of Endings activates Heaven-Splitting Moment and throws the vajra with an ear-splitting sonic boom. Essence crystallises around the shaft as it strikes like a thunderbolt.
The javelin strikes unexpectedly, and punches through the Alchemical's armour as though it wasn't there driving deep through the Perfected Lotus Matrix and out of his back.
The Moonsilver Champion simultaneously leaps forward to strike at Aoshi with three deadly slices from the gyrochakram in his hand, snow, sparks and oil fly everywhere... He strikes! The first cut glances across Aoshi's armour but does no damage, the remaining attacks are deftly knocked aside.
(TAA Takes 10HL -> Incapacitated)
Tick 13
Aoshi declared the winner!
Postscript
There's a bright flash and the sound of thunderous applause which fades away after mere moments...
Comments from the Peanut Gallery
TAA did not have much chance here. Wind-Hand Gemstone made Aoshi nearly impossible to hit from range, especially with the parry boost from Storm Crow Form. Closing the distance to fight hand-to-hand was risky but the only viable option. Alas, hand-to-hand with a gyrochakram and Thousand Wounding Gears Style is decidedly un-optimal. Aoshi, on the other hand, breezed it in. If she had combo'd on Tick 1 the fight may have ended right there. TAA suffers from a lack of surprise negating charms. Perhaps Storm Crow Style should not have an Unexpected attack charm... :) nikink
