Social Grace

Pleasing Shape Method
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Lunar shifts his shape to become something pleasing to the eye, instantly catching attention. Pleasing, stunning, catching the eye and giving others pause even amidst the most delicate negotiations, giving the Lunar a well-placed edge. By spending 1 mote, the Lunar may use his Appearance for any and all Social rolls, regardless of the attribute that was to be used in it.

Prismatic Flare of Beauty
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Pleasing Shape Method
The Lunar focuses on his beauty, her form becoming a shimmering, flaring with beauty and wonder! While employing this Charm, the Lunar substitutes her Dexterity for her Appearance while making a close combat attack. Moreover, the opponent has to pass a Temperance roll or be unable to defend, staring transfixed as the Lunar strikes. Opponents that are already blind are not affected by the flare, but it is too fast for one to close his eyes in response to it. They may do so in response to the activation of a combo they recognize this Charm to be part of, however.

Resplendent Peacock Plumage
Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Pleasing Shape Method, Appearance of the Moon-Kissed
The Lunar shifts his shape into something glorious, resplendent, like a Peacock showing off, his physical shape changing with great bright plumage to show its grandeur. As long as this is mantained, all those around the Lunar receive a penalty equal to half Lunar’s Appearance, rounded down, in any Social or Agressive action against the Lunar, and need to make a Conviction roll to attack the Lunar unless he has struck first. The Waxing Moon anima power explicitly adds to the Appearance for purposes of this Charm. It has no effect on automata and beings unable to appreciate beauty, but closing one's eyes does not protect against the effects of the Plumage, as it relies on things unseen, such as pheromones, as much as the physical change - it is a beauty felt as much as seen.

Silent Speech Method
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Pleasing Shape Method
Master of minute changes to his shape, the Lunar is able to communicate without words, by manner of a body language that shifts to communicate silently. The victim must be able to see the Lunar, and the Lunar may not communicate complex thoughts or conduct a speech, so may not make an eloquent point, but may attempt to intimidate, seduce, call attention to himself, make new friends or poison the waters against someone present(by conveying disdain or distaste with his motions). One may roll as normal, but may not roll more attribute dice than his Appearance for those attempts. Those specifically watching the Lunar as he uses this Charm may roll Perception+Socialize, with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Manipulation, to notice him. All those directly affected by the Lunar get this roll, and they do not notice the manipulation of their opinions unless the Lunar wishes them to.

Attention-Demanding Presence
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Appearance: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Pleasing Shape Method
Using this Charm, a Lunar can focus the attention of those in the immediate vicinity upon himself without speaking. Doing so requires a Appearance+Presence roll. Each success indicates a number of individuals equal to the Lunar's Essence have received the Essence-driven equivalent of a 'look at me'. Those subjects find their attention focused oon the Lunar and instinctively look into his eyes where possible. A target may spend a point of willpower to negate this Charm's effects.

Graceful Butterfly Dance
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Attention-Demanding Presence
The Lunar makes minute changes to her form, becoming so beautiful as to be hypnotic to all who gaze upon her form. The Lunar makes an Appearance+Performance roll; With at least one success, all those who can see her can do nothing else but to watch her, losing all awareness of their surroundings, and as long as she mantains the Performance, it is nearly impossible to look away. Every turn, they can spend 1 Willpower as a simple action to roll their Temperance+Essence, and the fascination is only broken when they have accumulated as many successes in their willpower rolls as the Lunar did on her Performance roll. They are broken out of their reverie by any physical action taken against them, but while entranced they defend against all attacks as if they were unaware.

Will of the Wisp
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Attention-Demanding Presence
The Lunar's beautiful form becomes alluring, hypnotic, drawing one to follow her anywhere she goes. The Lunar rolls her Apperance+Performance to target a number of targets no greater than her Essence, who resist with a reflexive Wits+Awareness roll. Then she moves, and those who failed this roll move after her, ignoring the world around them, if possible walking around any and all obstacles. Distractions, such as someone trying to wake them from their reverie and being led into danger(such as a storm or a cliff) prompt another such roll, but the successes to break from it do not accumulate - it is an all or nothing attempt. Any physical harm will bring them back to their senses, but while entranced they defend against all attacks as if they were unaware. This Charm has no effect on targets with a greater Permanent Essence than the Lunar.

Secrets of Beateous Moonlight
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Appearance: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Butterfly Dance, Silent Speech Method
Some are perceptive enough to witness a Lunar's Tell. They pierce the veil of the Lunar's illusion and shapeshifting and see the anchor of their True Soul... but crafty Lunars learn to deceive even those. Secrets of Beateous Moonlight makes the Tell's discovery be the sight of some endlessly beautiful and thrilling secret, with a smile and a wink from the Lunar. Something that should not be shared with others, but treasured... such a secret that can only be whispered with its holder. When an opponent notices her Tell, the Lunar may activate this Charm and roll her Appearance+Essence in a constested roll against the opponent's Willpower. If the Lunar wins, the opponent will not tell anyone of her Tell. He may only watch the Lunar from afar, needing to succeed in a Temperance roll at difficulty 2 to initiate any social action against the Lunar, and having a hard time not following the Lunar if she beckons. The opponent makes a new Temperance roll every dawn, and when he achieves as many successes as the Lunar's success margin on the contest, he is free from the effects of this Charm, able to tell anyone about the Lunar's Tell. A botch makes the effects last for a Lunar month.

Tales

Phantom-Conjuring Performance
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Charisma: 2
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: Silver-Soul's Charisma.
As in Exalted Corebook, page 174. Solars no longer possess this Charm(Those that follow it are adjusted to Masterful Performance Exercise)

Tale-Spinning Mastery
Cost: 6 motes
Duration: Variable
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Phantom-Conjuring Performance.
The illusions move around, a play of light and shadows accompanied by a perfect narration by the Lunar, using shapeshifting to convey the right movements, the right tone of voice, using his Charisma to sway an audience. It takes skill, to know exactly how to address each audience, every decorum needed... and how to properly put up the show. It is a masterful display, converting Attribute dice equal to the Lunar's Essence into automatic successes, and making it so none watching may interrupt unless they have a greater Permanent Essence than the Storyteller.

World Within Words
Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Variable
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Tale-Spinning Mastery.
Vocal cords modulated by shapeshifting magic, Lunars can work the most subtle hypnosis. Surrounded by the Lunar's sweet tongue and illusions that drown all of their senses, an audience no greater than (The Lunar's Charisma x4) individuals see themselves into a world of fantasy, touching and sensing and feeling things as if they were real. The Lunar may choose to make any of the audience to become participants in the tale, feeling all that the characters do. The Lunar must roll his Charisma+Performance with a difficulty equal to the audience's Temperance scores. If he beats them, they are ensnared, unaware of their surroundings until they directly threaten them. Great disturbances may call for Perception+Awareness rolls, and even those are increased by a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Essence. The Lunar must spend a Performance action every turn to keep the performance going every turn, or this Charm ends. He may split his pool to try social attacks against the audience, but nothing guarantees they will remain passive then. The tale is told vividly, and its parables can be incredibly instructive - the Lunar may wish to teach a little bit of a wisdom in a single trait he possesses higher than his onlookers in his performance. The cost to increase that trait lowers by 1 experience point. This does not stack with itself, or with tales told by any others.

Stance-Shifting Parable
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: World Within Words.
Placing the audience in place of the characters of a story, the Lunar uses the power tales posses over the minds of people to change the very opinions of those around him, shifting them like clay. The Lunar comes up with a general opinion for his public, which may be no greater than (The Lunar's Charisma x4) and spends rolls his Charisma+Performance with a difficuty equal to the audience's Conviction+Essence(he may succeed on some and fail on others) after having performed for a number of hours equal to the highest Conviction among his audience. Should he win, they have the idea ingrained into their selves. Each scene they wish to go counter this opinion, they need to spend 1 willpower. Extras, clearly, do not have this option. When one has spent more willpower than the Lunar's Charisma, this Charm is undone. However, as long as they choose to follow the idea, they receive a one-die bonus to actions directly pertaining it.

Life Mimics Art
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Stance-Shifting Parable.
The Lunar holds a single participant in the audience of his World Within Words within a veil of illusion, ensnared as into a spider's web. While others in the audience may be made to feel what characters are feeling superficially, and Stance-Shifting Parable may attach viewpoints to the audience, Life Mimics Art goes a step further: It makes a single member of the audience fully believe she is one of the chararacters in the story. The Lunar rolls his Charisma+Performance at a difficulty equal to the victim's Essence in an opposed roll against the victim's Willpower. If the Lunar wins, she believes herself to be the character.

Every scene, she may spend willpower to resist as with Stance-Shifting Parable(and Life Mimics Art breaks in the same way), but if she does not and decide to act 'in-character', she has the character's Virtues, Nature and Willpower at her disposal(as long as it is used for purposes other than resisting the character, of course). She believes herself to be the character, and thus Charms such as Motive-Discerning Technique that activate on the person's knowledge of a lie will only read said character, not the true person.

If the victim's real willpower fall to 0 while this Charm still works, however, she is absorbed fully by the guise. She will recover willpower for it, and live within it. On every New Moon, she gets to roll her Willpower against the original successes of the Lunar to recover, however. Otherwise, the only way to get free is if the Lunar frees the motes committed to this Charm, or if it is broken in some other way.

Tale of Seven Ordeals
Cost: 12 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Variable
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: World Within Words.
Within Lunar's parables great secrets are hidden. A teacher may decide to disclose those secrets, weaving a Tale meant to teach one a specific lesson in life. A tale of ordeals and mastery, brought about by meditating master and pupil, minutes on Creation spanning days in the tale which the student lives fully, as fully as one can leave a dramatic tale. Using this Charm, a Lunar can bypass Training Time when teaching another one trait he knows(Including Charms and Spells, but excluding Permanent Essence, as that enlightement must come from within). They must meditate in silent for a number of hours equal to the new trait's experience cost, during which the Lunar whispers his tale quietly, surrounding his pupil in illusions, in a world of his own. The pupil must have the experience for the trait, however. When the tale ends, both master and pupil are exausted, suffering from a Fatigue Penalty equal to half the number of hours spent meditating in dice(to a maximum of 5) until they have proper rest.

Emotional Control

Emotion-Shaping Technique
Cost: 6 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Silver-Soul's Manipulation
Great tricksters, Lunars use their abilities to change an individual’s behavior – with their abilities, they are able to shift personalities as if it was their own flesh. The target must be able to see and understand the Exalted as he uses this Charm – however, the Lunar can convey the change in many ways, such as a play or a dance. The Lunar rolls Manipulation+Presence, with a difficulty equal to the target’s Willpower. Every success allows the Lunar to alter any of the subject’s Virtues, however they may not go above 5, changed by more than 2 dots, or go below 1. This power does not work in beings whose magic is rooted in their Virtues, such as Spirits and Fair Folk, and it may never lower a Celestial Exalt's primary virtue lower than the nessessary for his Limit Condition. The changed virtues last for one scene.

Foe-Taunting Utterance
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Emotion-Shaping Technique
Insults are part of a Lunar’s combat – deriding an opponent’s reputation is almost as effective a wound as that caused by a blade. The Lunar rolls Manipulation+Presence with a difficulty equal to the target’s Temperance. If he suceeds, every success imposes a 1-die penalty on all actions taken by the target this turn. If the Lunar scores more successes past that difficulty than the target’s temperance, the penalties disappear and the target flies into a rage, unable to take any defensive actions during the turn, only agressive actions against the Lunar. The target may spend 1 willpower to ignore those effects. The Lunar may pay 1 extra mote to cap his successes at twice the victim’s Temperance, not making him fly into a rage – an useful trick in situations where a trickster wishes to hind his opponent, but not start a fight.

Glib Tongue Technique
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Emotion-Shaping Technique
The Lunar speaks with a sweet tongue, making those who hear him act, or not, as the Lunar sees fit. The Lunar's player makes a Manipulation+Presence roll with a difficulty equal to the target's permanent essence, while the target resists with a Willpower roll at standard difficulty. If the Lunar rolls one success, the subject is predisposed to the Exalt's suggestion and will likely do as the Lunar desires providing no outside influences(Charms, other persuastion attempts) come into play. Three additional successes guarantee the subject's immunity to mortal persuasion, but she is still vulnerable for Charm use to convince her otherwise. Five Successes guarantees immunity to any sort of persuasion attempts, and means the subject will do the task as soon as possible, even at great risk to herself. This Charm has no effect in subjects with greater Permanent Essence than the Lunar.

Unassuming Worker Prana
Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Glib Tongue Technique
Many times, a Lunar has to move into places he has no knowledge of. Lunars are survivors, hunters, frontiersmen: They walk into places none other dares, and survive. But more danger than the elements might be to try to fit in alien cultures, be they the Nexus bazaar, the courts of the Fae or the Brass Empire of Ligier. Using Unassuming Worker Prana, the Lunar uses illusion, trickery and pheromones to appear to be nothing more than a regular part of the order in the world around him, just another worker in the hive. No one notices his presence as anything unusual, though they will remember him later. Any questions he asks, no matter how outlandish, are taken as those of a fellow worker who clearly had no way of knowing this information, and never make anyone see him as anything different or novel, and will be answered to the best of the person's ability unless they are to keep it secret even from their own.

When the Lunar behaves out of his assumed character, asking strange questions, that strains the Charm, and those he talks to roll a contest of their Willpower+Bureaucracy against the Lunar's Manipulation+Bureaucracy. If the opponent wins, he breaks free, and notices the Lunar is asking strange questions and is not just another part of the Bureaucracy. They do not, however, notice anything unusual about the Lunar aside from his apparent ignorance of the world around him, and might just assume he is a new worker at the court unless they win by a margin greater than the Lunar's Essence, in which case they notice they suffered of a supernatural compulsion. This Charm adds 2 to the difficulty of spotting the Lunar's Tell, cumulative with all other sources. Spotting the Lunar's Tell instantly breaks this effect.

Ideal Mate's Instinct
Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Emotion-Shaping Technique
The Lunar designates a target, which he must taste something of – a droplet of blood, a part of hair, a goblet of sweat, even leftover saliva left on a cup. He understands that person’s instincts, and changes his shape slightly – his build, his scent, everything that is important but nearly invisible – to match the person’s instinctual responses, becoming the victim’s ideal mate, overriding all logic or reason. For the remainder of the scene the Lunar converts a number of dice into automatic successes equal to his Manipulation in any seduction attempt against the victim, and she victim must roll her Temperance every turn not to give in. Spending willpower equal to the Lunar’s Essence(or half the Lunar’s Essence if the victim leaves the Lunar’s presence) cancels the effect, and every successful Temperance roll counts as a willpower spent for those purposes. Even then, there will be a lasting longing on the victim. This may sour the victim on the Lunar – even if the victim does not know shapechanging magic was involved, few rational beings like to give in to their basest instincts. This Charm has no effect on automata, ghosts, or other beings that possess no response to pheromones. It does, however, affect Gods, Demons and embodied Raksha, if the Lunar can be considered of the right species.

Alpha Mate Stance
Cost: 12 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Ideal Mate's Instinct
A powerful social tool, Alpha Mate Stance allows the Lunar grows glands that exude powerful pheromones. Anyone from the same species as the Lunar within his Manipulation in yards feels an extreme attraction to the Lunar, as the culmination of everything they desire on partner physically. The Lunar adds his Essence to his Appearance towards those of the same species as he, even though nothing changes in his outward form. They need to pass a Temperance test upon first seeing the Lunar to refrain themselves from trying to seduce the Lunar, and another one the first time the Lunar tries to seduce them for a scene. On a botch, they give up all of their resistance, and may make quite a scene if not restrained. This may sour those affected on the Lunar – even if the victim does not know shapechanging magic was involved, few rational beings like to give in to their basest instincts. This Charm has no effect on automata, ghosts, or other beings that possess no response to pheromones. It does, however, affect both Gods, Demons and embodied Raksha, if the Lunar can be considered of the right species.

Crowd-Shaping Charisma
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Manipulation of the Moon-Kissed, Emotion-Shaping Technique
Using the Crowd-Shaping Charisma, the Lunar shifts the form of a crowd’s personalities as if they were flesh, making them more or less virtuous as he wishes, making a crowd compassionate, sniveling cowards, calm, angry. With this, the shape of kingdoms might be changed, revolutions brought about. The targets must be able to see and understand the Exalted as he uses this Charm – however, the Lunar can convey the change in many ways, such as a play or a dance.

The Lunar rolls Manipulation+Performance, and specifies one Virtue, rolling with a difficulty 1 for every (Essencex10) people or fraction thereof the Lunar wishes to affect. Every success allows the Lunar to reduce or enhance a virtue by 1. This may not take virtues above 5 or below 1, or change them by more than 2 dots. However, Essence-wielders have their Essence as ‘soak’, negating one success to alter their virtues by every point of essence they possess above 1. This power does not work in beings whose magic is rooted in their Virtues, such as Spirits and Fair Folk, and it may never lower a Celestial Exalt's primary virtue lower than the nessessary for his Limit Condition. The changed virtues last for one scene.

Moon-Lasting Change
Cost: 13 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: A Lunar Month
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Crowd-Shaping Charisma
With this Charm, the Lunar uses his command over the shifts of the Moon to lock a change of virtues he brought about in place. To the end of the Lunar Month brought about by the New Moon, and as long as the Lunar mantains the essence committed the virtues will remain locked in the place the Lunar has changed them to.

Shifting Divinity's Desire
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Moon-Lasting Change
With a kiss and a wink, a tale and a juggle, the Lunar uses his wit to change the emotions and desires of a divine being. The target must be able to see and understand the Exalted as he uses this Charm – however, the Lunar can convey the change in many ways, such as a play or a dance. The Lunar rolls a contested roll of his Manipulation+Presence against the target Willpower+Conviction. If the Lunar wins, he may use each success above and beyond the maximum to shift one dot from the target's virtues. This may lower a Spirit's virtues below the minimum to use certain Charms, thus making them unable to. This may not lower or raise them more than 2 dots in either direction.

This Charm lowers the Raksha's Grace values together with their Virtues, and may bar them from using Charms the same way. If the Lunar lowers the Raksha's Virtue to 1 and still has success to lower it to 0, he may induce the Raksha to enter Bedlam. This may never lower a Celestial Exalt's primary virtue lower than the nessessary for his Limit Condition. This Charm has no effect on targets with a higher Permanent Essence than the Lunar. The changed virtues last for one scene.

Darkness in the Moonless Night
Cost: 9 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Shifting Divinity's Desire.
In the darkness of the night, there is despair. In the fringes of the world, humans fear the shadows when Luna disappeared, and only the gift of dragon Hesiesh keeps the darkness at bay. In the darkness, doubts fester, conviction breaks, hidden thirsts happen, all within the fear and the knowledge anything may be coming in the shadows. Opening their connection with Luna as a portal, the Lunar brings the feeling of a Moonless Night and washes it over a group of no less than (The Lunar's Permanent Essence) individuals. Telling tales of the downfall of virtue, the Lunar erodes their emotions and convictions, breaking them throughouly. The Lunar rolls his Manipulation+Essence with a difficulty equal to the victim's Virtue - if he wins, he may turn the virtue so decried to 1, no matter how high it might have otherwise been. Raksha thus affected fall into Bedlam for the scene. Spirits thus affected lose the ability of using any Charms assossiated with that Virtue for the scene. This may never lower a Celestial Exalt's primary virtue lower than the nessessary for his Limit Condition. The Virtue returns to normal at the end of the scene.

Lunacy of the Full Moon
Cost: 9 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Shifting Divinity's Desire.
In the nights of Full Moon, silver light touches all. Lovers walk into moonlit gardens, and the purity of their love is consecrated to the moon. Lunatics smile and go about their bussiness filled with purpose. Animals howl to the silver lady and engage in thir fierciest hunts. Under the full moon, virtue, emotions and the inner fire of all beings blossoms! Opening their connection with Luna as a portal, the Lunar brings the feeling of a Full Moon and washes it over a group of no less than (The Lunar's Permanent Essence) individuals. Telling tales of a Virtue's greatness, the Lunar exalts it into the hearts of all who can hear! The Lunar rolls his Manipulation+Essence with a difficulty equal to the victim's Virtue - if he wins, he may turn the virtue so exalted to 5, no matter how low it might have otherwise been. Raksha thus affected consider the virtue a major Grace for the duration, and receive it in automatic successes to all their shaping rolls. Spirits thus affected may use Charms from this Virtue at no cost in Willpower and paying 2 less motes. The virtue returns to normal at the end of the Scene.
