Character Description

Akee Sambo is a young barbarian man. He is tall and very well muscled. His skin is a dark bronze and his hair is collected on top of his head in a large wide flat circle. He wears a leather vest over his breast plate, hiding his Khatar in the small of his back.

Backstory: Second child of the chief of a nomadic tribe in the south, theFrivYeti/SambiTribe, Akee grew up in a privileged place. He was always granted the best clothes, tools and weapons. Because Akee was second born and would never control the elder family as head male, he was being groomed to take over the role of the Shaman. He was being trained with several other youth be the Shaman in addition to the training in the occult.

Akee never got the chance to follow up on his training, as politics quickly took over his life. Because of his family’s position in the tribe, his becoming the shaman would be seen as the creation of a single root of power for the tribe. So the plots began. At the center of these plots was Geshi Sambanna, nephew to the shaman.

One day, on a routine hunt, a strange dust storm circled the herd and they fled. It settled and from it emerged two northerners. Akee approached first and told them to leave. The disturbing of the herd was a method often used to steal beasts and would not be taken lightly by his tribesmen. The two strangers did not understand, and when Akee’s tribe members arrived the immediately attacked the strangers. When Akee defended them, one of the tribe members loyal to Geshi claimed sorcery and fled off to summon more warriors. When twenty warriors arrived to see Akee defending two strangers, it did not take long for Geshi to convince them. It was then that the Unconquered Sun infused Akee with the Essence of a Solar Exalt. Akee defended those two strangers, but fled the tribe.

They were Penu Umbro and Dust Devil, who he named for her mode of transportation. They travelled at Dust Devil’s insistence to Zeretan.
