Here is a page for creating a batch of Jutsus for the NarutoMod, which could do with finishing. I sincerly hope BrigandRansom comes back to help out :P Anyway, as with everything on the wiki, it's a collaborative project, so if you want to place a jutsu here, go ahead! I'll be starting out by converting the jutsus seen in the anime to format, but I'm lazeh and I really need other people to help out. (That and I have other projects too)

Format

Please write out jutsus in the following format, essentially the standard method on the wiki.

•Most Jutsus are named "Whatever no jutsu" Up to you if you want to keep the "no jutsu" bit I suppose. We'll aim for standardisation after we have content. ^_^
•I interpret that Jutsus such as Kawarimi would be reflexives, while those that require chains of seals would be simple actions.
•Chakra 2 is genin-level, chakra 3 would be chuunin-level, 4 jounin-level, and 5 and 6 would be characters like Itachi and the Hokage respectively.
•In all honesty, if you want to write it as one large clump, go ahead. I just like separating fluff and mechanics.

Dodge

Kawarimi no Jutsu
Body Substitution Technique

Cost: 10 Chakra
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Chakra: 2
Minimum Dodge: 2
Prerequisite Jutsus: Probably something that I haven't written yet.

A common jutsu - used to quickly replace a body with a close by object. Creates confusing among the opponent(s) - creating a chance to escape, or return with a larger strike. Useful for avoiding attacks, and hiding from potential enemies.

Kawarimi no Jutsu is a perfect dodge, and may be activated after an opponent has made their attack roll. The shinobi instantly switches places with an object of roughly similar size (a small log is very common) that is within Chakra*6 yards.

Presence

Bunshin no Jutsu
Clone Technique

Cost: 2 Chakra per Clone
Duration: One scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Chakra: 2
Minimum Presence: 2
Prerequisite Jutsus: None

A jutsu that creates an illusionary clone of the user, in numbers of 1 or more. The Clone disappears after being struck with an attack, and can deal no damage. This jutsu is one of the basics, and required to pass the Shinobi Academy.

Each clone created is an exact replica of the shinobi, only with no abilities and one Health Level. They are incapable of dealing any damage, and serve only as a distraction or decoy. If created in combat, they act on the same initiative count as the shinobi, and the ST should make sure that, unless they focus and deduce it, not to allow players to know who the real one is.

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu; Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Both forms are identical)
Shadow Clone Technique; Water Clone Technique

Cost: 5 Chakra per Clone
Duration: One scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Chakra: 4
Minimum Unknown: ?
Prerequisite Jutsus: Bunshin no Jutsu (Presence), Something else

This technique creates a number of actual clones of the shinobi, made out of either Shadow (Kage), or Water (Mizu). other variants of this jutsu may exist, as practiced by shinobi of other villiages. The clones look identical to teh shinobi, and possess all of his abilities. They are still rather weak, and will disappear after one blow.

Each clone created is an exact replica of the shinobi, as with Bunshin no Jutsu, however, these have the shinobi's full Ability and Attribute values, and know all of his Jutsus. The clones still have only one Health Level, and the same procedure applies when using them in combat. The clones may use Jutsus, but they all draw upon the one Chakra pool of the shinobi.

Suna Bunshin no Jutsu
Sand Clone Technique

Cost: 5 Chakra
Duration: One scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Chakra: 4
Minimum Unknown: ?
Prerequisite Jutsus: Bunshin no Jutsu (Presence), Something else

This jutsu is similar to the clone techniques employed by other villiages, but differs in a fundamental way: Rather than creating multiple weak clones, it creates a single strong one of sand. It looks like the shinobi, but is clearly created from sand, and therefore does not function well as a decoy.

It has all the shinobi's Abilities, Attributes and Jutsus, as well as a full complement of the number of Health Levels the shinobi has when the clone was formed. It acts on the shinobi's initiative, as with all clone techniques.

Comments and suggestions

It's become clear to me that there's a major problem in determining exactly where a given Jutsu should fit, and that perhaps the jutsus should -not- in fact be bound to Abilities. For example, where would the following go?

  • Katon Housenka (Fire Element: Mythical Fire Flower)
  • Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Fire Element: Grand Fireball Technique)
  • Katon Karyuu Endan (Fire Element: Fire Dragon Flame Blast)
  • Katon Ryuuka no Jutsu (Fire Element: Dragon Fire Technique)

Each of these is a fireball jutsu, each slightly different. Archery? Hmmm.

All Jutsus can be divided up into Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu. Here at NarutoMod, we have added Kenjutsu and Dojutsu, which corresponds well to Exalted's 5-part system, but may not work so well under the circumstances.
