Student, I'm proud to say, is a pretty good example of twinkery. :)
His main weakness is his lack of a perfect applicability trumping active defense. In other words, no HGD. Most combat solars at this power level will have Heavenly Guardian Defense, but due to the restriction of Prismatic Arrangement of Creation style (no weapon), he can't use that charm. In a normal game though, this is easy to get around. Just convince your GM to let your character have a custom Dodge charm that's perfect and applicability trumping. My recommendation is Dorchada's ** Shadow in the Noonday Sun . If that's not your style, I'm sure you can figure some other interesting method to provide such defense.
Also, I should've added Spell Shattering Palm into the combo. At 5 xp, it's cheap and would've given me the chance to nullify Lion's spell immediately.
Student must also watch his essence expenditure. Even in this fight, where the Solars outnumber Lion and Student has an artifact that gives him an extra 75 motes, it was a close shave. Had FrivYeti rolled better and Lion regained more motes, Student's charm nullifying trick would be hampered. In a story where Student is facing, say, five Immaculates and does not have Essence Containing Gem, that trick would've been suicide. - TonyC
