Predator Manuvers
Narrowing the Lead
Gun It: Ratchet up the speed in an attempt to narrow the Lead.\\ Redline: A more extreme version of Gun It that more dramatically increases the speed and the potenital narrowing of the Lead., at a cost to a car's performance.\\ Shortcut: A somewhat dangerous Manuver, attempting to narrow the Lead by taking a shorter path than the Prey, but frequently at an increased Danger.
Changing the Game
Herd: Through a mix of clever tactics and brute force, eliminate the Prey's choices until they are forced into a new type of terrain- and possibly get them to crash as well.\\ Jockey: By carefully matching the Prey's movement, the Predator helps his ally's keep a steady and easy to hit target in their sights.\\ Tailgating: The equivelent of a car's clinch- once the Prey is locked, the Predator has gained a great deal of control over the Chase, and can even try and slam their hapless opponent into handy obsticles.\\ Ram: Similiar to Tailgaiting, but more vicious- Raming has no elegance, settling for brute strength. Ramming is frequently somewhat damaging to the Predator, but worse for the Prey.
Fininshing Manuvers
Box In: It takes skill to trap the Prey with minimal damage to either side, but some times the kid gloves must stay on.\\ Cut Off: Appearing suddenly in front of the Prey, the Predator uses their own vehicile to cut them off. Almost invariably destructive to one or both sides of a Chase, it will still end it quickly.
Prey Manuvers
Widening the Gap
Pull Ahead: Increases the speed while attempting to get away from the Predator.\\ Fading: Like Redlining, this pushes the car to it's limits and a smidge beyond, trying to escape the Predator.
Breaking the Rules
Lure: The Prey controls the Chase in many ways- where they go determine where the Predator will follow, after all.\\ Bootleg Reverse: Slamming on their breaks, the Prey attempts to make a 180 and cruise right past the Predator before they realize what's happened.\\ Set Up: Much like Jockey, Set Up gives the Prey's passangers a set of clean and easy shots, aiding their attempts at attacking the Predator.\\ Zig-Zag: Taking a dangerous route that the Predator may be averse to follow, the Prey intentionally drives like a pyscho, nearly slamming into a variety of objects- course, this isn't the safest of plans.
Clean Getaways
Barnstorm: Although classically reserved for low flying planes, any vehicle that has a cluttered area to pass through- tossing up too much debris for the Predator to follow.\\ Hairpin Turn: Only available in limited types of terrain, Hairpin Turns taunt the Predator into taking ever more dangerously sharp turns. Eventually, the Prey simply makes one the Predator eitehr doesn't attempt, or fails.\\ Vanish: The most basic way to get away- getting away. The Prey simply puts enough distance between themself and the Predator as to escape.
Manuver Name Lead: Any Lead Requirement Speed: Any change to the Chase Speed Success Condition: Requirement for the Manuver to be successful. Success: Results for success. Special: Special rules or notes about a Manuver.
Chase Manuvers Look up the Predator and Prey Manuvers on the table below. Each combination has either a - (meaning this combination isn't possible, typically due to Lead requirements) or #/#. Apply the left number to the Predator's Drive pool, and the Right number to the Prey's.
