We live in the silence between stars, the shadows of the unlit expanses. You look for us and you do not see. We are everywhere our murderous children are not. We are incomparable, vast and terrible. We are the cold of the night air and stillness after the last gasp. Look for us in the sky and you will know us by the scattered motes of fire that we have not yet devoured.
