Persona Reading Glance
Cost: 3 motes Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Socialize: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Motive-Discerning Technique, Knowing the Soul's Price
By simply looking at his target for a fraction of a second, the Solar can determine the following things:
- What virtues, if any, the target has over 3, and the values of those virtues that are over three (if his target has a virtue of one or two, the Exalt can tell that he does, but not whether the virtue is one or two. The Exalt learns the value of any virtue over three).
- How many temporary Willpower points his target has.
If the target has no virtues, the power has now effect.
Emotionally Appealing Phrases
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Socialize: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Persona Reading Glance
By using emotional appeal, the Solar using this charm exploits her target's Compassion. This Charm only works on targets that have a Compassion of three or more. The Solar makes a Socialize roll (usually combined with Charisma). Her target rolls his (the target's) Compassion plus her (the Exalt's) Essence. If the target succeeds against a difficulty of his (the target's) Essence, acts as though compelled by compassion (see page 130 of Exalted) to follow a single command of the Solar. The target can, as normal, spend a temporary Willpower point to resist this compulsion. This, however, adds to the target's limit, as normal.
Greater Purpose Rebuttal
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Socialize: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Persona Reading Glance
This Charm functions identically to Emotionally Appealing Phrases, except that the Solar exploits her target's Convicion.
Prudent Plan Argument
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Socialize: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Persona Reading Glance
This Charm functions identically to Emotionally Appealing Phrases, except that the Solar exploits her target's Temperance.
Rage Inciting Words
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Socialize: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Persona Reading Glance
This Charm functions identically to Emotionally Appealing Phrases, except that the Solar exploits her target's Valor.

Why is essence on both sides? Why not Compassion x 2 or whatever? Because essence seems like an odd thing to add to what is essentially a virtue roll. Even better, how about the target rolls Compassion + (Charmuser's Essence) at diff of their own essence, since a success is 'bad' in that it forces them to do something.
