South Lands, a Solar Exalted campaign by Zack (Setting Doc Rev 1) Starting Point: City of The Lap, in the Southwest.

A city nestled in the lap of the mountain carved in the likeness of a meditating man, and surrounded by miles and miles of farmland around it. A loyal vassal of the Realm, it exports normal goods and also serves as one of the major sources of foodstuffs in the region. Of course, as a direct result of this, the Realm has a pretty heavy presence in the region, since if the food goes, their armies go. This of course makes coming here as an Anathema a risk if you can't manage to keep at least a semi low profile. Due to the fact the Realm is tied up in infighting due to the disappearance of the Scarlet Empress, however, they aren't nearly as vigilant as they should be. This shouldn't be taken as an invitation to openly branish things that would give away one's true nature, of course.

So why would a crew of Anathema to the Realm, Exalted to your peers, come to this Realm infested area, despite the lax in the Wyld Hunt? A job offer from someone, with the promise of money, favors, and of course additional jobs after the first is completed. It said to meet him in the Half Past Inn in The Lay, and to try to maintain a low profile, especially regarding the Realm. Of course, all but the dullest could also tell that not going would be considered quite rude, to say the least.

That's the basics, for now. Basic limit on backstory is that you decided not to be rude and are on your way to The Lay, or are already there. Don't go overboard in the background, of course.

System Esque Things: Merit Flaws allowed, don't push it.

Background may be purchased but earned in-game, but talk to me about it first.

Manses- If they aren't in the area, they'll be immune for the most part, but you can't use them as bases. If they are in the area of The Lay and Gem and inbetween, they can be used as bases, but I can't be held responsible for what might happen to them.

Monkey Leap is yards, not feet.

Featherfoot is 5 motes 1 scene, double land speed, doesn't stack

Spider Foot is 3 motes 1 scene

Basic idea of the campaign: Starting in The Lay, but expect to be on the move Southward as time goes on. Don't expect a plethora of social situations, but it isn't going to be all combat and no talk though.
