Intramuscular Enhancement Mesh
Edition:Second Rating: ●●●○○ Commitment: 4 Magical Material: Orichalcum
The exalts have learned ways to make their bodies stronger, with artifacts as well as charms. The intramuscular mesh is an easily applied artifact, produced in the body by a skilled surgeon. A hundred syringe-thin magical material needles are placed around the body, and the muscles are stimulated to pump fibres of magical material through each vein and capillary of muscle. The end result is muscles that are enhanced with magical power, but as supple and natural as normal muscle. The bearer's strength is increased by 2. These dots of strength do not count as charm bonus, but are not natural for purposes of caps; they are an equipment bonus, like accuracy. Further, the magical material threaded through muscle aids in charm use; the cost of Increasing Strength Exercise is reduced by one mote, to 2 motes per point. If the artifact is forcibly unattuned, apply a -2 wound penalty to the wearer until attunement is reasserted. Surgery trait: 25/5 hours/4/5. The artifact construction difficulty is taken into account in the precise detailing of the needles, destroyed in the process of injecting the artifact.
