I had a question about Caste in Stone (Type). When you gain the Charm and switch to the new Caste do you loose your connection to the previous caste. An example (for my piece of mind) if you are origonally Dawn and then take Caste in Stone Twilight, are you Dawn and Twilight, or are you just Twilight without Dawn. I'm thinking you gain Twilight without loosing Dawn, but I could be wrong. Beyond that question, I actually love these Charms. - [[Heru]] | I had a question about Caste in Stone (Type). Solar Permanant Charms by FlowsLikeBits
Essence Adaption Method (Abiltiy)
Cost:None Duration:Permanant Type:Special Min. Ability: 5 Min Essence: 4 Prereqs: none
Sometimes, a charachters needs grow and change as they age. This charm reflects that fact. When this charm is learned, the Solar gains a new favored abiity. They must have mastered this ability already(5+ dots in it). This is one of the few ways a charachter may have more than 5 favored abilities. When this charm is learned, the exalt gains 5 xp + 2 xp for every charm of this abilitiy they know(not counting this one). This charm is alway considered unfavored when learned(Learning it for a favored/caste ablility has no point and is impossible anyway).
Caste Away Technique (Type)
Cost:None Duration:Permanat Type:Special Min. Ability: 10 ability dots in the relevent Caste Abilites Min Essence: 4 Prereqs: (Type) Exalted Essence Empathy in (FlowsLikeBits/SolarMulti)
Deep inside, all Solars are Chosen of the Unconquered Sun. What one can do, another can learn to do. This flexiblity served the Solars well and made them dangerous opponents, as it was difficult to make assumptions about your opponents capabilities. While Solars a specialized when they first exalt, they eventually learn to throw away those restrictions that become to binding.
With this charm, the Solar learn the anime technique of another Solar caste. This works just like their native anime banner, but does not change their caste mark, which is the sole remanant of the Solars initial caste. Solars who gain the Eclipse anime power only gain the ability to learn out of Type Charms. While they do not technicly get diplomatic immunity, most spirits can't tell the difference. However, it is possible to go to Yu-shan and do the paperwork (a Charisma + Buracracy or Manipulation + Buracracy, difficulty 3) to become a full Eclipse and gain the ability to santify oaths and have diplomatic immunity. This charm may be learned no more than 4 times, of course.
Caste in Stone (Type)
Cost:None Duration:Permanat Type:Special Min. Ability: Special Min Essence: 5 Prereqs: Caste Away Technique (Type), one favored ability
With this charm, the Exalt throws off the shackles of their inital training and adds the role of another. To learn this charm, the Exalt must already know the anime banner for their new caste via Caste Away Technique and must favor at least one abilty of that caste, ether naturally, or via Essence Adaption Method. When this charm is learned, the exalt changes all the abilties to that caste to caste abilities, refunding xp as if Essence Adaption Method had been bought for each ability the exalt did not already favor. When buying the Eclipse caste, the exalt automatically gains access to all the abilites of that caste, if they do not have them already. This charm may be learned no more than 4 times, of course.

- Heru
