The mission Focused on a homeless man in Bright Obelisk. The man was in his early thrities, and had simply washed out of society. His thread showed so much potential at so many times, and yet each time it seemed that he had been pushed aside through circumstance or by the actions of others. Strife had taken his time to really search through the thread to ensure there had not been some supernatural meddling, yet he could see no trace of any. Perhaps the man was really just that unlucky.

Yet this time, fate could not afford to have him be unlucky. The spiders planned for him to sing and be taken into this Dynasts home, apparently this would serve the Loom somewhere else down the line. If he didn't, not only would that later issue arise, but the early forecasts showed that there would be a considerable disruption all about Bright Obelisk if he were to fail. The nature of that disruption was clouded, and strife was unable to see if it would affect causality or if there would be a breach of some sort.

Strife quickly gleaned this mans habits which generally presided around a bottle of rum and an alley off the Street of Shining Stars in Bright Obelisk. It seemed that there were more than a dozen essence users in the area, quite a few summoned demons, and some other beings of note, though the detail was fuzzy on them. Strife decided to be prepared in case a battle was foreseen.

To that effect he used his ability to see the weave through the sight of auspicious prospects for battles and saw that indeed, if his charge were to succeed in this endeavor, it would undoubtedly require some bloodshed.

This done, Strife felt confident in his ability to handle himself, and manipulate the locals into acting with him, but he thought it might be a good idea to arrive early and ensure all his pawns were in place before the game was afoot.

Strife will easily learn that something or someone has been cleaning out the local homeless population. Over a dozen of the various beggars in the street have gone missing over the last two weeks. Most "decent" folks don't seem to mind, seeing the beggars as a nusaince anyways.

You will of course need to convince the beggar to go and sing. (That's a no-brainer if you use HESW, assume you succeed with little problem.)

You will need to get him past the outer gates and the two guards there,

And you will need to get the satrap rather than the butler to answer the door.

Assume the satraps butler is a halfcaste dragon touched, essence 2, no great shakes, but no pushover. If you want deatils, I can provide, as he is essentially an extra.

The satrap himself is an essence 4 DB Fire aspect, and a great lover of music. A well known patron of many artists and such.

There are also potentially 3 additional challenges Strife may face. I don't want to give away the surprise. But as i see you are doing prep stuff, feel free to go up until you begin to head towards the Satrap with the beggar, then I'll have a nice post for you.

Singing Scavenger

The Briefing in Brief:
The agents are required to find a homeless beggar and get him to knock on the local satraps door. The satrap must answer. If he does (and being slightly inebriated might help the situation) he will require the beggar to sing for his supper. Once that happens, the weave will correct itself. There seem to be lesser complications in the area which will prevent this from happening on its own.
