This is the page about flying monkeys.

There are several varieties of flying monkeys.
The most common are the hidakuri. Found in the East, these small monkeys (about 2' tall when full grown) have light green fur and stripes with colors ranging from hunter green to black. They have "masks" the color of their darkest stripes, and tails that are at least twice as long as their bodies. These monkeys have a blanket-like membrane (a patagea) running from their wrists to their ankles. With these membranes, the hidakuri are able to glide from tree top to tree top with ease.
They also have several tiny claws located on the pads of each finger, for helping them grasp onto branches that are too large for them to get a secure grip on with their tails.
They are inquisive and curious creatures, and have spent enough time around humans that there are numerous domesticated blood lines of hidakuri. They are breed by the Haltans and are common (if expensive) pets. The most expensive of the hidakuri sold as pets are the Full Moon Hidakuri, which are albinos, with pure white fur, and a mask and striping ranging from off white to light grey.
Another type of flying monkey, this one actually capable of true flight, is the skatherachti. These foul tempered creatures are the spawn of normal monkeys of the East (the type is unknown) and the skycrawlers, a winged breed of anuhles. The skatherachti are usually between two and three feet tall, with black fur that shimmers and seems blue in the right light. They do not have normal monkey eyes. Instead, they have eight tiny eyes, arranged in two rows of four that go down their largely featureless face. At night, these eyes glow ominously red. In addition to their normal monkey appendages, the skatherachti have eight spider-like limbs that come out of their back and reach around to their front. In spite of these numerous extra limbs, all come from the back, as do their bat wings, the skatherachti are capable, if not particularly graceful fliers. When in flight, they wrap their spider legs around the front of their upper body.
As if the a 12-limbed winged monkey with a bad attitude wasn't enough, the claws and fangs of the skatherachti are poisoned, with a weaker form of the skycrawler venom.
The Illustrious Simians of the Thousand Winds are not monkeys at all. These are actually spirits, shaped like baboons with cold blue fur, and white skin, and fangs made from ice. These Simians are still loyal to the Celestial Bureaucracy, who are responsible for frightening the wind into follow its proper patterns. Those Simians who are truly gifted at their jobs often have their teeth replaced by fangs of unbreakable pearl, carved in a minute script with tales of the the spirit's glory.
