Crimson Pentacle Blade Style
Martial Arts, without Charms, is a primarily unarmed combat Ability. Six of the thirteen Charms in Crimson Pentacle Blade Style are absolutely unusuable without a weapon or shield, though. From the entire style, I can only find three that do not adapt directly to the Melee Ability without any real effort, and will discuss those separately. I propose that the entire tree simply have the Martial Arts requirement switched for Melee, with the exception of the three Charms I will address separately. An explicit note would be attached, saying that the style is still universal, as MAs usually are.
(Incidentally, changing the Form Charm to a Melee Charm would not change the fact that it's a Form Charm, and thus incompatible with other Forms.)
Change the entire tree, save the three exceptions, over to Melee

- David., are you suggesting
- 1. that it be made a DB Melee tree (unavailable to other Exalts, and using Melee dice pools), or
- 2. that the tree remains in MA and uses the MA dice pool, but has Melee Ability requirements? ^_^

Neither. I'm suggesting that it be made a Melee tree (with the few exceptions, addressed separately), but that all of the Charms in the tree can be learned by anyone capable of learning Terrestrial-level martial arts. - David.
