Death-Songs
Those Charms assume that Withering Dirge can be used with Charisma as well as Manipulation.
Singer-Dies-Singing Technique
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Lamenting Ghost Technique
The Deathknight with this Charm needs never to stop singing, even when their vocal cords wither and snap, even when blood slides down from their lips, they will never stop singing. With this enhancement the Abyssal strenghtens her vocal cords to sing the most damned elegies to the Neverborn, those that require tongues of poison and fire to be pronounced properly, and become able to sing for hours upon hours without ever becoming fatigued and can spend a limitless ammount of motes in Lamenting Ghost Technique - in fact, even if she does not possess enough motes to power it she can just force the words out, taking 1 level of unsoakable lethal damage to create a number of motes equal to her Essence rating with which to power Lamenting Ghost Technique and other voice-based techniques.
Primordial Death Scream
Cost: 10 motes, 1 health level
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Singer-Dies-Singing Technique
With vocal cords able to withstand singing the poisonous names of the Neverborn for years to no end the Abyssal is able to utter the ultimate sound: the death-scream of Primordials. Releasing the sound made by the titans when slayn by the Exalted the Abyssal transforms her song into a weapon of ultimate annihilation. All those who can even hear the character lose 1 Willpower and must fail a Compassion roll not to break into tears, acting with the same penalties of blindness. Facing the death of titans is mechanically easy but emotionally difficulty. Activating it in conjunction with a voice-based attack (such as Lamenting Ghost Technique or even the Spirit-Charm Words of Power) makes said attack unparriable and undodgeable. This Charm can explicitly be Comboed with Charms of other Abilities.
The Abyssal can activate this Charm reflexively upon dying for 1 mote and 1 willpower without counting as a Charm use - it creates a Performance action with which to be uttered before the end.
Mote-Shattering Song
Cost: 7 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Performance: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Withering Dirge
Rising her voice to a shattering crescendo the Deathknight reaches a loud, hissing pitch that shatters windows everywhere within (the Deathknight's Essence x5) yards. Directed against a single opponent this Charm rattles bones and splits cells, shredding their bodies with music to the point where just a single strike is necessary to twist the entire form out of shape! When used in conjunction with an attack Mote-Shattering deals Aggravated Damage to living beings and doubles its damage against objects. Things made of glass shatter instantly before this Charm, even weapons and armor made with most perfected Craft. This Charm can explicitly be Comboed with Charms of other Abilities.
Beautiful Death
Blood Dance Technique
Cost: 6 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Performance: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Haunting Inflection Trick, Morbid Fascination Style
Deathknights were built to kill the world. That truth about their being is encoded into their every action, turning mere words into violence, and sheer violence into words - a Deathknight's violence is eloquent like the dead Primordials that empower them: the slaughter of an army a dance of sheer beauty, the torture of a king a speech against the power of living men, the fight against a Terrestrial a call to arms for the dead. Activated at the end of a turn of violence Blood Dance Technique allows the Abyssal to contextualize it into a Performance - receiving a Performance action with which to affect any onlookers. This Performance action receives one automatic success for every two Health Levels of damage the Abyssal has dealt in the turn this Charm is activated - it is through killing and destruction that the Abyssal Exalted make their point.
Rise the Celebrant Shadow
Cost: 5 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Independent Action
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Blood Dance Technique
With this Charm the Abyssal takes all the art out of herself and sinks it into her shadow, causing it to rise as a spirit of the most rare persuasion: a gleeful aspect of the Neverborn. While under the effect of this Charm, a voice that echoes the pleasures once known by the dead Primordials hangs sourcelessly in the air, singing wordless Abyssal elegies, and her shadow dances without her body's leadership. She has two independent actions each turn; one may only be used for Performance actions (including Performance Charms) and the other is unrestricted. She may also benefit from her own Performance Charms even if they normally only benefit others (she can also choose to be unaffected by them).
The Birth of Fears
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Heart-Sculpting Oration
The living are a cowardly, supersticious lot. It is following those words that the dead all accross Creation keep their descendents as loyal sheep, burning sacrifices to enhance their long-dead forefathers' wealth. What living being is not scared of death? As champions of death, Abyssal Exalted can learn how to work the intrincacies of fear and loathing to allow terror to grow from the hearts of mortal men. The Abyssal's player selects an emotion and rolls Manipulation + Performance at a Difficulty equal to the highest Valor among his audience. Should the Abyssal suceed his entire audience will develop a single crippling fear - when faced with the object of the fear created by the Abyssal they must spend 1 Willpower per scene not to run away or submit in fear to it - and one more to resist any social actions taken by, or by someone wielding the fearful object torwards them. Each one targeted by the fear can shake it after spending more points of Willpower than the Abyssal's extra successes in the initial Performance roll. Note that while Heroic characters are well able to resist this fear that the masses of mere Mortals will usually just run from the fear or be driven mad by its continued presence.
Eightfold Nightmare Dance
Cost: 7 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Performance: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: The Birth of Fears
Masters of fear, the Abyssal Exalted can lace each step of their Performance with altercations of limitless fear, causing those who witness their blasphemous song and dance to fall into the throes of horrifying nightmares! All those the Abyssal's Performance is directed at must roll their Valor. Success means the nightmares leave them shaken, increasing the difficulty of all their actions for the remainder of the Scene by 1. Failure means they fall into th throes of fear, unable to take non-Reflexive actions for the remainder of the turn. This Charm can be used in successive turns, the difficulty penalty for success increasing by 1 each time, to a maximum of the Abyssal's Permanent Essence score in increase - if a character loses this roll more times than her Valor she acquires one Derangement, plus one more for each subsequent time she fails this roll.
