The Mole-Spider Thief

The Mole-Spider Thief has robbed houses, museums, schools and mansions all over Nexus for the past decade, and has gathered the largest single bounty on his (or her) head that has been seen in Nexus for over a century (it currently stands at fifty silver talents). For all of the rampant success of this master-thief, however, not a single piece of evidence regarding the identity of the Mole-Spider Thief has been discovered.
The name came about following the third theft attributed to the mysterious burglar who had already broken into the grounds of the Okame Library and the Scarlet Manor on successive nights. One of the guards who patrolled the mansion that would later be owned by Bastion notable Delos Ferrano said that whoever the thief was, they would have to be part mole and part spider, after a previously unclimbable wall was scaled, and a multiply-warded door was simply dug through to get into the vault-room.
Rumours
- The Mole-Spider Thief is not actually a person, but is just a cover story that has grown out of all proportion, taking on a life of its own.
- Sangurio Destheme is secretly the Mole-Spider Thief; he pays otherwise unknown artists and playwrights to do the artwork that he takes credit for.
Secret
- The Mole-Spider Thief is a Sidereal Exalted utilising a Resplendent Destiny to acquire trinkets for her mansion in Yu-Shan.
Comments
That second quote made me laugh out loud. I bet the siddy robbed Miss Jasmine because she met her one day - and, of course Miss Jasmine was intolerably rude to her! Hee! - Sparrowhawk
