Perception of the Putrid Prana
- Cost: 1 mote
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 2
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Medicine Insight of the Lolita
With but a look at a patient and the instant detection of his symptoms, a character with this Charm can unerringly diagnose all physical poisons, diseases and infections afflicting the patient. Character can also attempt to diagnose mental and magical illnesses with this Charm, but this requires five minutes of examination and a successful Perception + Medicine roll (at standard difficulty for mental illnesses and the Moe score of its creator for magical illnesses). Characters can diagnose their own physical diseases with this Charm, although they cannot objectively evaluate their mental health.
Nameless Ailment of [Form]
- Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Perception of the Putrid Prana
For some reason, the most dangerous and impressive diseases in the world of the Exalted are those that haven’t been given a name by Creation’s physicians. These diseases simply exist to make life more dramatic. Gothic Lolitas know that diseases are one of the most angst-inducing situations, and they exploit this by temporarily infecting the target with a malady. When she learns this Charm, the character must choose the type of illness she can inflict. Characters may purchase this Charm more than once in order to spread different forms of disease. In all forms, the character must be within three yards of its intended victim in order to infect her.
Body: The Lolita’s player chooses one plague (as listed on the main Exalted rulebook) and makes a Intelligence + Medicine roll with a difficulty equal to (the disease’s virulence – 1, minimum 1). If the roll is successful, the target must succeed on a Stamina + Resistance roll to resist infection, just as if exposed to the disease in question. The illness is noncommunicable.
Mind: The Lolita’s player chooses a derangement (as listed on the main Exalted rulebook) and makes a Manipulation + Medicine roll (difficulty 3). If this roll is successful, the target succumbs to the chosen form of madness unless her player makes a successful Willpower roll against a difficulty of the Lolita’s permanent Moe. Derangements induced by this Charm last a number of days equal to the Lolita’s Manipulation rating. The actual game effects of madness are left to Storytellers to decide.
Spirit: The Lolita’s player makes a Conviction + Medicine roll, resisted by her intended victim’s Valor + Resistance. If the Exalt wins, the target immediately falls in a state of depression and anguish, reinforced by ghosts of his own uselessness and voices that remind him how pathetic he is. Angsty characters cannot regain lost Willpower and suffer a -2 penalty to all dice pools. This depression is not a derangement; it’s the effect of the target’s soul being tainted by the dark powers of angst. As such, the infection cannot be cured through mundane means or magical remedies that target mental illnesses. Once per day, players of infected characters can roll Willpower against a difficulty of the Lolita’s Moe. If successful, the character regains the lost confidence and lifts his spirits. Ordinary mortals infected with angst for more days than their Valor rating commit suicide. Characters cannot learn Nameless Ailment of Spirit until they have mastered the other two forms of this Charm.
Body-Ailment Extirpation Technique
- Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Nameless Ailment of Body
With this Charm, a Lolita can crush the corruption of disease from her flesh or the flesh of another. All it takes is a moment of concentration and a touch, and the expelled taint bursts from the patient’s body as a nasty-looking viscous sludge. The subject is immediately cured of all infected wounds, as well as all diseases whose Difficulty to Treat is less than or equal to the Loli’s Medicine rating. This Charm can even cure the Great Contagion. A warning, though: this Charm HURTS. A LOT. The violent expulsion of taint is quite bloody and traumatic: cured characters suffer a number of levels of lethal damage equal to the Untreated Morbidity of their worst disease. The damage can only be soaked with Stamina.
World of Pain and Despair
- Cost: 20 motes, 1 Willpower, 3 experience points
- Duration: Indefinite
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Nameless Ailment of Body
This Charm duplicates the effects of Nameless Ailment of Body with two notable exceptions. First, plagues created with this Charm are terrifyingly deadly and resistant to medication, adding the half the Lolita’s Moe (rounded up) to the difficulty of any Endurance, Resistance or Medicine-related roll to fight off or treat the disease. In addition, such plagues are just that –plagues- and may be spread to other victims by all the usual vectors for the disease. The effects persist until the Lolita removes the Moe committed to the Charm. After that point, the disease ceases to be contagious. Although Lolitas are immune to diseases they personally create, their fellows and allies are not, so they must be careful in the use of this Charm: plagues do not distinguish between friend and foe.
Kiss of Death
- Cost: 15 motes, 1 aggravated health level
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 5
- Minimum Moe: 4
- Prerequisite Charms: Nameless Ailment of Spirit, Body-Ailmment Extirpation Technique, World of Plague an Despair
The Lolita infuses her blood with highly-concentrated tainted Moe. This allows the Lolita to unleash the greatest of weapons: the Great Contagion. To transmit it to the unfortunate victim, the Loli must kiss her. Any kind of contact of her lips against the target’s skin works In order to avoid contracting the Contagion, the victim’s player must make a reflexive Stamina + Resistance roll at difficulty 5. If this roll fails, the player must then roll one die to see if his character is blessed with natural immunity. If the number roll is less than or equal to the victim’s permanent Moe, she survives with only minor fever. Otherwise, the character dies painfully after a number of days equal to her Stamina. This form of the Contagion is noncommunicable. Characters that survive the infection are thereafter immune to all strains of the Great Contagion.
Reality Revision: Bloody Land of Pandemonium
- Cost: None
- Duration: Permanent
- Type: Special
- Minimum Medicine: 7
- Minimum Occult: 5
- Minimum Moe: 6
- Prerequisite Charms: Kiss of Death
The Lolita herself becomes a reality engine, made to accomplish a single objective: the annihilation of everything that exists. After all, there’s no more perfect world of No Fun than an empty, lifeless world. This Charm permanently enhances the Kiss of Death, as follows:
- The Lolita no longer needs a kiss to transmit the disease. She need just exhale and the tiny particles of tainted blood take to the air. Every creature within (the Lolita’s Moe) yards is exposed to disease the moment she releases it.
- The difficulty of the Stamina + Resistance roll changes to the Lolita’s Moe.
- The Contagion can be spread. Almost anything can be a vector for the Great Contagion: rats, contact with those infected or with objects previously touched by someone infected, even the air itself.
- The moment she purchases this Charm, the Lolita becomes immune to the Great Contagion, if she weren’t already.
Manipulation of Agony Technique
- Cost: 4 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Re-Useless
- Minimum Medicine: 3
- Minimum Moe: 1
- Prerequisite Charms: Medicine Insight of the Lolita
With nothing but the softest touch, the Lolita can inflict great pain of alleviate her own. When used on others, Manipulation of Agony doubles the target’s wound penalties for the rest of the scene on a successful Wits + Medicine contested by the target’s Stamina + Resistance. When used of herself and after a successful Wits + Medicine roll at standard difficulty, the Lolita halves her pain and wound penalties for the rest of the scene. This Charm can be placed in a Combo with Charms of other abilities.
Touch of Final Release
- Cost: 3 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Manipulation of Agony Technique
Death is the final release. With this Charm, the Lolita can grant this favor to a willing individual. The Exalt need only lay her hands on the subject and whisper a few words of encouragement and relief. If the subject truly wishes to die, she may spend a point of Willpower to painlessly end her own life. The decision cannot be coerced in any way, or the Charm fails. Subjects of this Charm never rise as hungry ghosts, although they are no more or less likely to linger as actual ghosts. Characters cannot use this Charm to facilitate their own suicide.
Restoration of Beauty Prana
- Cost: 2 motes per health level, 1 Willpower
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Blood Mastery Technique, Touch of Final Release
With this Charm, the Lolita channels her Moe into her wounds, restoring them with the force of her will and the wish to recover her flawless skin. For every two motes spent, the character converts one level of lethal damage into a bashing wound level. Characters with a permanent Moe of 3 or higher can use this Charm on others, although such healing is excruciatingly painful. UnExalted characters treated by this Charm lose a number of Willpower points equal to the number of lethal levels converted unless they are unconscious or anesthetized.
Flawless Skin Restoration Prana
- Cost: 2 motes per health level
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Blood Mastery Technique, Touch of Final Release
Gothic Lolitas are perfectionists by nature, and they believe their bodies must be the epitome of perfection. For this reason, scars are not allowed on their perfect skins. By simply concentrating and focusing her Moe for a moment, the Lolita with this Charm can marshal her own Moe to heal.
For every 2 motes the Lolita expends on this Charm, she may instantly heal one level of bashing damage. This Charm cannot heal lethal or aggravated damage.
Restoration of Perfection Prana
- Cost: 4 motes and 1 Willpower per health level
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Restoration of Beauty Prana, Flawless Skin Restoration Prana
The Lolita shapes and materializes her Moe into organic tissue, turning her most grievous wounds into lesser cuts and breaks. For every 4 motes spent, the character can instantly convert one level of aggravated damage into a lethal wound level. Converted wounds heal normally unless treated with further magic (such as Restoration of Beauty Prana).
Alternatively, this Charm can be used to regenerate destroyed tissue, amputated limbs, lost eyes, etc. Eyes, tongues, hands, feet, mouths full of smashed teeth are all the equivalent of one health level. Lost limbs are the equivalent of two health levels. Although regeneration fueled by this Charm is continuous and requires no particular effort or rest on the part of the Gothic Lolita, such healing is not instantaneous. Destroyed tissue takes one hour per health level to regrow. Needless to say, having your bones, eyes, limbs and insides grow again hurts like hell.
Existence of Pure Moe Method
- Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Medicine: 5
- Minimum Moe: 5
- Prerequisite Charms: Restoration of Perfection Prana
The Lolita literally becomes one with her Moe. Her outward appearance doesn’t change, but she has actually renounced to her organic body to become an existence of pure Moe. The Lolita’s transformation becomes obvious the moment she takes a wound. Her wounds don’t bleed, but materialized Moe gushes out of her body in the shape of blue-green wisps, and the “skin” and “flesh” around the wound twist and reshape to close the wound and heal the damage.
At the end of every turn, for the rest of the scene, the Lolita instantly heals all levels of bashing damage and a number of levels of lethal damage equal to half her Moe, rounded up.
Reality Revision: Palace of Eternal Cuteness
- Cost: None
- Duration: Permanent
- Type: Special
- Minimum Medicine: 6
- Minimum Moe: 6
- Prerequisite Charms: Existence of Pure Moe Method, Saintly Girl Territory
This Charm is a permanent improvement to the Performance Charm Saintly Girl Territory. From the moment she purchases this Charm, she receives the benefit of the Existence of Pure Moe Method Charm within the boundaries of her Saintly Girl Territory. By paying a point of temporary Willpower, the Lolita can extend that benefit to another character, as long as the target was present during the creation of the Saintly Girl Territory.
Torrent of Blood Strike
- Cost: 2 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: SubtleTheKawaiiEdition/LolitaMedicine/Mental (if there’s a subtle Lolita Charm, this is definitely not it, though)
- Minimum Medicine: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Blood Mastery Technique, Manipulation of Agony Method
All Exalts, regardless of allegiance, have one thing in common (besides their cuteness and coolness): they bleed A LOT. The tiniest wound and they’ll lose impossible amounts of blood. Gothic Lolitas use this Charm to further worsen the situation. In addition to inflicting normal damage, attacks augmented with this Charm bleed as if there were no tomorrow. All rolls to staunch the victim’s bleeding have their difficulty increased by (the Lolita’s permanent Moe – the target’s permanent Moe, minimum 1). Victims of this Charm also bleed more quickly, suffering one health level of unsoakable lethal damage every minute. Characters with Blood Mastery Technique or similar magic are immune to this Charm. Torrent of Blood Strike is explicitly permitted to be part of a Combo with Charms of other abilities.
Suppression of Moe Strike
- Cost: 10 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: SubtleTheKawaiiEdition/LolitaMedicine/Mental
- Minimum Medicine: 4
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Torrent of Blood Strike
This Charm allows the Lolita to infuse the target her corrosive Moe. This causes the target’s own Moe to lose brightness and warmth, preventing the target’s healing. If the attack augmented by this Charm hits, the Lolita’s player reflexively rolls Wits + Medicine. Each success prevents the healing of a single health level of damage through the use of Charms or natural healing. Natural healing must “heal” a number of wounds equal to the successes rolled, at a wound penalty equal to the highest health level lost (so that an Exalt at -2 who is subject to this Charm with four successes must spend the time necessary to heal four -2 health levels) before natural healing actually begins. Only one application of this Charm can affect a given target at a time. This Charm can augment a hand-to-hand attack or be delivered through any other form of touch. However, characters can only use this Charm once per turn. This Charm is explicitly permitted to be part of a Combo with Charms of other abilities.
Comments
Torrent of Blood Strike should probably have a higher Moe descendent charm that gives people haemophilia. Overall, lots of good stuff; the idea of healing through PAIN is a good theme. --JohnBiles
