Burning Brand
Background
Brand has been with the watch for all his adult life, and a lot of his teenage years, after he was rescued from the life of a street kid by Captain Tempering Flame. Of his early years his memories are a jumbled mess, he knows that his mother and father were killed. His father stabbed during an argument with an Obsidian thief, his mother by a disease she contracted after being forced into prostitution by the same man. Brand cared for his mother as best he could, but in the end his efforts were futile. The same afternoon that his mother's corpse was tossed into the sewers with the rest of the garbage, and Brand was thrown onto the streets.
This opened a new chapter in his existence as he was forced to beg and steal to survive, more often than not going to sleep curled up in a camel pen, hunger knawing at his stomach. Some days he was lucky though, grabbing a handful of dates while a market trader was busy with a customer, hiding amongst the camels and drinking from their trough, and not being caught and beaten by the merchant's guards. It was during this time that he began to form friendships with other street kids, Fast Eddie, Pigface, One-eye and many more.

Charging his weapon with Solar essence until it shines like the setting sun Brand lays about him, with each strike there is a flash of deep crimson light. His sword arm strikes true, carving great furrows through his foes and any inanimate object that gets into the arc of the blade. At the same time his weapon moves to intercept any oncoming blow, blocking with a flash of pure white light.
