- Reduces DV penalties for actions by 1 and allows Filial Wisdom to ignore onslaught penalties, as well as permitting jumps as Move actions and doubling jump distances, for one scene.
- If attacked before next action, can purchase additional Parry DV for 2m/+1DV to a maximum of +5DV and may then spend 3m in Step 9 to launch a counterattack, which can be enhanced with automatic successes at a rate of 2m/success. If attacked unexpectedly, may spend 1m to become aware of the attack, then 1wp to initiate Peace at the End of Sorrow. Should his weapon not be in his hand when this occurs, he may spend 1m to call it there reflexively if it is within 60 yards.

- Makes an horrific attack that doubles attack successes for the purposes of determining damage, and may spend up to 11m to increase attack dice by 1 die/m. Gains one automatic success on the attack, and doubles post-soak damage. Also adds an additional die to damage (after doubling), which can be increased by a total of 5 more dice at 1 die/m.
- If attacked before next action, can spend 2m to ignore all penalties to Parry DV, and increase DV through the First Melee Excellency.

Filial Wisdom has 6 uses of Heavenly Guardian Defense prepared through Protection of Celestial Bliss. If circumstances permit, will use Increasing Strength Exercise and Flow Like Blood before battle begins as well. Wisdom favors using the speed of his opponents against them, through counterattacks, rather than developing his own speed.
