Solar Melee Charms by Nail Rat
Flurry of Celestine Blades
Cost: 5 motes Duration: One Scene Type: Simple Minimum Melee: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Iron Whirlwind Attack
The character concentrates Essence into the quickness of his attacks, his weapon becoming incredibly light and maneuverable. One weapon of the character’s choice has its Rate increased by a factor equal to permanent Essence. Additionally, the character receives a bonus to Initiative equal to Melee, and multiple action penalties on melee attacks and parries are reduced by 2.
Jade-Rending Assault
Cost: 3 motes + 2 motes per point of soak ignored, 1 willpower. Duration: Instant Type: Supplemental Minimum Melee: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Fire and Stones Strike
The character focuses Essence into her blade, slicing through armor with ease. The attack deals Aggravated damage, and for every two motes spent on the Charm, a point of the target’s armor is ignored by the attack.
Phantom Essence Strike
Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Solar’s Essence in turns Type: Simple Minimum Melee: 5 Minimum Essence: 5 Prerequisite Charms: Jade-Rending Assault, Flurry of Celestine Blades
A phantom image of the character’s weapon, forged of Essence, remains in the opponent after the attack. The attack deals additional damage equal to the Solar’s Essence. Additionally, for a number of turns equal to the Solar’s permanent Essence, the target must soak this attack again. Moreover, Phantom Essence Strike cannot be blocked. Phantom Essence Strike was one of the favorite weapons of First Age Solars, especially Dawn Caste Solars, to slay their enemies.
Arc of Golden Vengeance
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Melee: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Blazing Solar Bolt
A beam of Essence jumps from the Caste mark to the weapon, and then the character makes a broad, sweeping attack, which sends beams of energy flying at her enemies. The character makes an attack with her Dexterity + Melee dice pool, which cannot be blocked or dodged without the use of Charms. The attack does lethal damage and has a base damage of the Exalted’s Strength + her Willpower. Against demons and ghosts, it does Aggravated damage. It strikes a number of targets equal to permanent Essence.
Storm of Celestial Wrath
Cost: 15 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Melee: 5 Minimum Essence: 5 Prerequisite Charms: Arc of Golden Vengeance, Flurry of Celestine Blades
The character swings his weapon around in a full arc, bolts of Essence flying from it in every direction. The character makes a Dexterity + Melee attack which strikes everyone within (Essence * 10) yards, which cannot be blocked. The bolts have a base Lethal damage of the Exalted’s Essence.
