Abyssal Ride Charms by CrownedSun
Death-Kissed Steed Meditation
Cost: 2 motes per die Duration: One scene Type: Supplemental Minimum Ride: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Soul Reins
The Abyssal infuses his mount with some of the endless rage of the Dead Gods. The beast thrives off suffering, with any small pain or stress only spurring it on to further effort. A mount enhanced with this charm will easily push itself to death through it's actions unless guided by the Abyssal in a stern manner, as it is no more obedient than normal unless the Abyssal has already used Soul Reins or Mount-Breaking Method. The Abyssal gains one bonus die on every Ride roll this scene for every two motes he spent. The Abyssal cannot add more dice than his Essence rating, and these dice do not count as dice added by a charm.
This above bonus represents the beast’s new love of pain and the extra effort and strength it applies to every action. It does not add dice to rolls that require finesse or carefully control manuevers. If used on the same animal repeatedly, this charm has been known to have permanent side effects such as a bad temprament and numerous superficial changes marking it as touched by the Underworld. In particular, all such horses have burning dark eyes that seem almost pits to the void.
