Implacable Useleness Declaration
- Cost: 4 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Re-Useless
- Minimum Presence: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Confusing Lolita Presence
Bluntly and mercilessly, the Lolita makes a concise summary of every embarrassing and plain stupid mistake the target has made, emphasizing on just how much of a loser she is. This knowledge comes from absolutely nowhere (some would say it’s the favor of the NeverCute, who never forget anything, the pathetic bastards) and doesn’t stay with the Lolita after the Charm’s effect is resolved. The Lolita rolls Charisma + Presence. Each success gives the target a -1 penalty to the action they’re currently doing; this cannot lower a target’s dice pool below her permanent Moe.
Elegant Mistress Mastery
- Cost: 6 motes
- Duration: One hour
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Presence Insight of the Lolita
After a few moments of casual interaction, the Lolita is labeled a regal, marvelously elegant lady of high society. Her manners and power of authority are so grand she’s to be respected……and feared. The Lolita’s player adds her Moe as bonus dice to all Presence, Socialize and Bureaucracy rolls involving one-on-one interaction. This bonus also applies to all intimidation attempts, regardless of the number of onlookers present. This Charm only engenders respect and fear, though. It definitely doesn’t make friends or makes the Gothic Lolita more likeable.
Mistress of the Damned
- Cost: Varies (see text)
- Duration: Permanent/One day
- Type: Special/Re-Useless
- Minimum Presence: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Elegant Mistress Mastery
Gothic Lolitas feel more comfortable when close to the cold embrace of the dead than among the living. That’s one of the (many) reasons Bishoujos and Magical Girls won’t admit Lolitas are as cute (and sometimes even cuter) as them. Bishonen do not seem to mind the Lolita’s “awkward” hobbies. In any case, it’s undeniable that Gothic Lolitas exert a power over the dead no other Exalt can hope to imitate.
A character who knows this Charm will never be attacked by the dead, unless they’re under a supernatural compulsion effect or it’s an intelligent undead with a VERY good reason to hate the Gothic Lolita (for example, the ghost of that seven-year-old cutie whose teddy bear was taken by the Lolita the day before she was accidentally stepped on by a giant robot. Of course, if I were that little girl I’d haunt the stupid Magical Girl who could even control her own giant robot, but oh well).
In addition, the Lolita may issue orders to the dead and demand their obedience. If targeting mindless undead or hungry ghosts, the cost is 5 motes plus 1 mote for each additional target after the first. Ghosts and other intelligent undead require a greater effort: 10 motes plus 3 motes per target after the first, and 1 point of temporary Willpower. The Exalt’s player rolls Manipulation + Presence against a difficulty of the target’s permanent Moe. Against several targets, the difficulty is the highest Moe among the members of the group. The amount of control the character has depends on the number of successes rolled, and the effect always lasts one day. One success allows the character to make simple, harmless commands that don’t go against the target’s Nature. Three successes force the target to completely obey the Exalt, although intelligent undead can ignore commands that are obviously harmful to them. With five successes, the target does anything the Exalt commands for one day.
The Gothic Lolita may also use this Charm to usurp control of undead from others. In this case the difficulty of the Manipulation + Presence roll is the Moe rating of the target’s current master. Characters cannot usurp control from masters with higher Moe than their own.
Summon the Forsaken
- Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 3
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Mistress of the Damned
The Gothic Lolita channels her Moe to the ground below, demanding her call for servants to be answered. If a largely complete skeleton is in the vicinity, it claws its way out the ground and emerges at the beginning of the next turn. The Lolita may animate all skeletons within (her Moe x 10) yards with a single use of this Charm and the skeletons obey their mistress completely, to the best of their limited intelligence. Skeletons have the same statistics as common zombies. They’re always extras.
Cursed Mirror of the Soul Method
- Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: One turn
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Elegant Mistress Mastery
Eyes are the mirrors of the soul. With a single gaze, a Lolita can attack her victim’s will and subjugate her spirit. The target must be within five yards and must be able to see the Exalt when Cursed Mirror of the Soul Method is invoked. If these conditions are met, circumstances conspire to have the victim look and fix his gaze to the Lolita’s own eyes.
As their gazes connect, the Lolita’s player rolls Manipulation + Presence in a resisted roll against the target’s Willpower. If the Exalt wins, the target is immediately entranced and can take no further actions that turn. Additionally, the target loses a number of points of temporary Willpower equal to the Lolita’s permanent Moe.
If the target wins, the Charm has no effect. A character who loses all Willpower from this Charm becomes highly suggestible to the Gothic Lolita. Although she cannot be ordered to do anything to harm herself for others (unless naturally predisposed to do so), such a hapless individual otherwise obeys the Exalt for the rest of the scene. This control shatters immediately if the victim suffers actual damage, although she must regain lost Willpower normally.
Seductive Whisper in the Ear Technique
- Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: Special
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Cursed Mirror of the Soul Method
With a plethora of nonsense and confusing, meaningless sentences, the Lolita confuses lesser minds and instills suggestions in their psyche. Roll the character Manipulation + Presence in a resisted contested roll against the target’s Willpower. If the target wins, she immediately knows what the Exalt attempted to do and the precise conditions of the suggestion. If the Exalt wins, however, she may issue one order.
The instruction can be as simple or complicated as desired, but the intended task cannot take longer than the Lolita’s Moe in turns. The suggestion remains until its conditions are met or a number of days equal to the Manipulation of the Exalt have passed. During this time, the target has no conscious recollection of her orders. Even after the target carries out the instructions, she does not recall the act unless specified to do so. Even if she remembers her actions, she does not connect them with a hypnotic suggestion unless she has reasons to believe such tampering occurred. This Charm cannot make characters hurt themselves or others unless they are already strongly predisposed to do so.
Embodiment of Gothic Perfection
- Cost: 7 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Re-Useless
- Minimum Presence: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Elegant Mistress Mastery
The Lolita channels her Moe to display it to others, revealing herself as an apparition encompassing all that is Gothic and all that is moe. Such a vision debilitates and intimidates others, negating all attempts to harm the character in any way (not just physically) unless the offender succeeds on a Valor check at standard difficulty. The attacker need succeed only once per action, no matter how many attacks she makes during a flurry. Characters can spend three Willpower points to resist the effects of this Charm for a scene.
Angsty Apparition of Terror
- Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Embodiment of Gothic Perfection
The Gothic Lolita condenses and then releases all the angst and brooding within her, in the shape of a vision of unimaginable horror to those who are unfortunate to witness it. While Angsty Apparition of Terror is in effect, a successful reflexive Valor is required each turn to attack the character or to voluntarily approach within two yards of him. If an aggressor fails, she suffers unsoakable lethal damage equal to the Lolita’s Moe rating. Characters that suffer more damage in this fashion than their Charisma spend the rest of the turn brooding over nothing and lose their action.
Injuries inflicted by this Charm typically manifest as heart attacks or strokes, although more exotic torments are not unheard of. Magical beings (including other Exalts) do not suffer this damage but, instead, cannot attack the Gothic Lolita on a turn that their players fail a Valor roll. Those who can attack the Lolita do so at a die penalty equal to the Lolita’s Moe.
Reality Revision: Force of Personality
- Cost: 20 motes, 1 Willpower
- Duration: One scene (or One hour, whichever is longer, the maximum time being one day)
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 6
- Prerequisite Charms: Angsty Apparition of Terror
With a slight modification of the laws of reality, the Lolita gives her overwhelming force of personality a life of its own. In her presences, her allies shiver, her enemies flinch and nobody dares to look at her in the eyes. While this Charm is active, the Lolita’s anima flares at its maximum level. This Charm gives the character the same benefits of Angsty Apparition of Terror for an entire day, and also grants the following benefits:
- The Lolita gains additional points of natural soak equal to her Charisma + Conviction.
- The Gothic Lolita also gains additional -0 health levels equal to her temporary Willpower score. These health levels are always the first lost when the character takes damage. They can be healed normally, but any time any amount of these is restored, one of them fades. When the Charm’s effect is over, all health levels fade, whether they have been lost to combat or not; the fading has no other ill effects for the character.
Within the boundaries of a Saintly Girl Territory, the Gothic Lolita’s flaring anima banner changes to the normal intensity it should have if this Charm weren’t active. A character cannot benefit from this Charm more than once per day.
Awaken the Dark Side - Lust
- Cost: 5 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Elegant Mistress Mastery
There’s a lolicon in every single one of us. With nothing but a flitting gaze, the Gothic Lolita’s incomparable cuteness awakens the part of us that should remain dormant forever. An overwhelming desire for the Loli invades the victims of this Charm, causing them to ignore everything else.
The Gothic Lolita rolls Appearance + Presence, at a difficulty of the target’s Willpower. This can even be an extended roll, but the Lolita must pay the Charm’s cost every turn she wishes to make a new roll. The target’s gets to make a reflexive Temperance roll to resist the Lolita’s effect. Successes on this roll are subtracted from the Lolita’s successes.
When the Lolita finally succeeds, the target is affected by a powerful compulsion. He is hopelessly in love with the Loli, but it’s a purely physical, almost perverted desire, He aches for her petite body. This obsession is dangerous for both victim and Loli. The victim doesn’t think of anything else, becoming oblivious to the world around him. His attention is undivided: he won’t do anything that doesn’t help him get closer to the Gothic Lolita. He will defend himself, but the first attack against him will always receive the benefits of a surprise attack.
The Lolita must be aware of the dangerous obsession she’s instilling in her target, which will do anything, ANYTHING, to get her under the bed sheets. While the victim won’t attack her, and will probably protect her from harm, he won’t leave her alone, either. If the Lolita dismisses him, ignores him and tries to get away, the victim will become even more insistent, until his desire crosses the boundaries of sanity.
Irresistible Succubus Style
- Cost: 8 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Awaken the Dark Side - Lust
With a few words and a few enticing gestures, the Lolita channels her Essence to become a dark ideal of beauty and perfection. She’s a living goddess of black silk and leather, impossible to ignore, envied by most and desired by all. There’s an ideal Loli all pedophiles dream of but their eternally-damned minds simply cannot conceive. This is that ideal. She’s too beautiful to be called a Bishoujo, too supernatural to be called a Magical Girl. She’s just……perfect.
A character adds her permanent Moe to her Appearance rating as long as this Charm is active. This is not an illusion, it’s a perfected ideal shaped by the Lolita’s mind and brought to reality with a powerful manipulation of her Moe. This means the Gothic Lolita’s overwhelming beauty cannot be pierced by magic that detects glamour or illusions.
In addition to augmenting her beauty to nosebleed-inducing levels, this Charm also causes the Gothic Lolita to exude an Aura of Seduction. Players of characters who behold the Exalt or interact with her must make a successful Temperance roll. If the roll fails, the characters find the Lolita overwhelmingly desirable regardless of their normal sexual preference. They will not harm the Exalt and are likely to behave irrationally in order to impress her. If the Exalt actually wishes to seduce a smitten character, she may do so without a roll (oh, you evil little vixen……).
This aura has no effect on beings with Moe higher than the Lolita invoking this Charm, nor doe sit affect the Alien Princesses. Similarly, this aura has no effect on characters engaged in combat or who otherwise believe the Gothic Lolita means them harm. Overtly hostile acts on the part of the Exalt may render a particular subject immune but do not prevent the Charm from enthralling others.
Morals Lost
- Cost: 5 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 2
- Minimum Moe: 1
- Prerequisite Charms: None
Using the appropriate taunts, a Lolita can make a person throw away his values and morality. The Lolita rolls Charisma + Presence (10s do not count as two successes in this roll). Successes are subtracted from one of the target’s Virtues, chosen by the Lolita’s player, for the duration of the scene. Having a Virtue reduced to zero means the character automatically fails that Virtue’s rolls and cannot channel her Willpower through that Virtue.
End of the Party
- Cost: 8 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Re-Useless
- Minimum Presence: 4
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Morals Lost
When the Lolita says it’s been enough, it’s been enough. When she says the party’s over, then the party’s over. Characters involved with a performance must make reflexive Willpower + Conviction rolls (opposed by the Lolita's Manipulation + Presence) to resist the strong compulsion that forces them to stop doing whatever they’re doing. Other characters who at some later point joined the singing and dancing also stop and slowly walk away from the party if the main performers stop, any positive thoughts on the performance and/or the performers faded in their deep subconscious. This will only affect the character’s opinion of the performer concerning that particular performance. Any previous opinions and feelings are unaffected.
This Charm can counter and negate the Bishonen Charm Karaoke. To do this, the Lolita makes a contested Willpower + Presence roll versus the Bishonen’s Willpower + Performance.
[Type] Exalt Imitation Style
- Cost: 10 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: End of the Party
The most skilled and thrill-seeking Lolitas learn the ways of other Exalts and wield them with terrifying precision, sometimes even better than the originals. This obviously draws the ire and envy of most Exalts, except for Bishonen, of course, who are capable of the unthinkable for a Gothic Lolita with cat ears.
This is actually a set of Charms. Each allows the character, for the rest of the scene, to mimic the anime effects of another type and caste of Exalt. This technique is perfect, and it is precisely this perfection which transforms the Lolita in a night unstoppable (yet quite wicked) entity. For the remainder of the scene, any character with a Willpower lower than the Lolita’s current Irony suffers a penalty to his dice pools equal to the Gothic Lolita’s Moe when attempting to attack her. Invoking this Charm automatically adds a point to the character’s Irony (after all, this is a for-some-reason barely acceptable form of cosplay), which counts towards the character’s Limit for the purpose of determining this Charm’s effect.
Lolita Goddess Declaration
- Cost: 4 motes, 1 Willpower per point (1 experience point to make a point permanent)
- Duration: (Moe) days/Permanent
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Morals Lost
The Lolita shapes her Essence in the form of the most appropriate regalia to appear godly to a group of locals, making a speech declaring herself as the true form of cuteness and, as such, worthy of worship. For every 4 motes and 1 point of Willpower spent, the Lolita gains a point of the Cult Background for a number of days equal to her Moe. If she spends an experience point when invoking this Charm, she can make one the Cult points gained permanent. No matter how many points of the Background she purchases through a single application of this Charm, she can only use one single point of experience to gain a permanent point of Cult. This effectively means the Lolita will need several applications of this Charm to gain a higher permanent Cult score.
Triumphant March of the Goddess of Cuteness
- Cost: 8 motes
- Duration: One scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Presence: 5
- Minimum Moe: 5
- Prerequisite Charms: Lolita Goddess Declaration
The character surrounds herself with a powerful aura of cuteness and authority. Unlike Lolita Goddess Declaration or Angsty Apparition of Terror, this Charm does not produce an obvious or overwhelming effect. Instead, everyone who is inclined to follow orders or just extremely cute people –including but not limited to peasants, servants, shop assistants, enlisted military personnel, otaku, hedonists, pedophiles and similar individuals- will obey the character as if she were in a position of authority over them. Any target that makes a successful opposed Willpower roll against the character realizes that the character does not have the authority (or cuteness) to command him. Everyone else will obey all reasonable-sounding commands given by the character. Orders to commit suicide; go on killing rampages, or requests to give the character most or all of the target’s money or possessions will end the character’s influence over the target. However, requests for information or admittance to otherwise restricted areas will be instantly granted, as will demands for moderately expensive merchandise (up to Resources 2) in a shop, even if the character does not pay for it.
Targets may make another opposed Willpower roll to disobey the character if a recognized superior (or cute person) contradicts the character’s orders. Targets who fail this roll will ignore their actual superior’s requests. One of this Charm’s most potent and useful features is that others observing the interaction will see nothing odd or magical about the character or the target’s reaction. This Charm has no effect on beings with Moe greater than 1, though it has proven effective on Alien commoners and other supernatural creatures of an inherently servile nature.
Comments
For Embodiment of Gothic Perfection, it should read 'encompassing all that is Gothic', not 'encompassing all this is Gothic'. For Morals Lost, it should read 'Successes are subtracted from one', not 'Successes are subtracted to one'. Overall, looks good.
- Corrected Morals Lost and the little typo on Embodiment of Gothic Perfection. --Wings
