Assume Regional Accent
- Cost: 3 motes
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Basic Linguistics Protocol
The Helping Goddess downloads the correct protocols for a particular regional accent into her head; this gives her a 3 die specialty in a regional dialect of one of the language families; she now speaks that language with a distinct accent as appropriate. Created in order to help Tech Support understand WISHes expressed in thick regional accents, such as 'durnit, git dem stankin' cows outer muh yard 'fore theys killing another of my dawgs.'
Speech of the Redneck
- Cost: 3 motes / target
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Assume Regional Accent
The chosen targets can now speak in a thick, incomprehensible dialect that no one else but them can understand for the rest of the scene. (This is not a perfect defense, but it requires the use of deciphering charms to penetrate.)
Voice of the Ancient
- Cost: 3 motes, 1 WP
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Assume Regional Accent
The Helping Goddess can now speak in such a manner as to strongly convey the impression of being an ancient, experienced Helping Goddess. This will tend to intimidate spirits into doing what she wants for fear she is really one of her elders in disguise. It also conveys fluency in Old Realm. The Helping Goddess reduces the difficulty of all social actions against spirits, elementals, gods, etc by her Essence. (This bonus is also gained against anyone who strongly respects the elderly in general.) This may be used to reduce the difficulty of the writing portion of the Approval phase of Reality Assembly Language Protocol Creation.
Exchange Diary
- Cost: 4 motes / page
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Basic Linguistics Protocol
This requires a carefully hand made exchange diary crafted with fine paper and leather binding and cute pictures on the cover. Once the charm is activated, the Helping Goddess has one scene to write out a message into the book, at a cost of 4 motes per page. Once she finishes, the Exchange Diary leaps to a target of her choice, who may reply at the same length, at which point the diary leaps back to the first writer. The recipient may choose to hold onto it and return it later, but they must use this charm or some other means to do so.
Exchange Voices
- Cost: 5 motes, 1 WP
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Basic Linguistics Protocol
The Helping Goddess must go to the presence of her target, then repeat something the target said. This exchanges their voices for the duration of the charm. She gains all languages known by the target and all linguistics specialty dice. This charm only works on those of lower Moe than her automatically. Those of equal Moe pit their Appearance + Essence against her Manipulation + Linguistics; if they get more successes, the charm fails. Those of higher Moe laugh it off. This literally switches the voices, so that the swapped voice is not a 'fake'; charms and sorcery which sense charms may well figure out what is going on, however.
Forge Signature
- Cost: 3 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Subtle/Mental
- Minimum Linguistics: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Basic Linguistics Protocol
The Helping Goddess can flawlessly forge someone's signature with a single success on a Wits + Linguistics roll; only a perfect deciphering or handwriting analysis charm will detect this. Using this on Heavenly forms is a good way to get the Heavenly censors on you, hungry for blood. If you get caught, anyway.
Flawless Handwriting Imitation
- Cost: 3 motes
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 4
- Minimum Moe: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: Forge Signature
For one scene, the Helping Goddess may flawlessly forge someone's handwriting with a single success on a Wits + Linguistics roll; only a perfect deciphering or handwriting analysis charm will detect this. Using this on Heavenly forms is a good way to get the Heavenly censors on you, hungry for blood. If you get caught, anyway.
Handwriting Analysis
- Cost: 5 motes
- Duration: Instant
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Basic Linguistics Protocol
The Ultimate System has a sophisticated handwriting analysis protocol which can yield up facts revealed by how a person writes. The Helping Goddess must roll Perception + Linguistics. Each success yeilds one fact, each more juicy than the next. (One success reveals a banker wrote this, three reveals exactly who, and five reveals it's part of a massive financial scam, for example.) This charm doesn't work on those of higher Essence than you; those of equal essence can oppose their Manipulation + Linguistics to your roll to make it harder. If they beat you, you learn false 'facts' about them.
Verbal Tick
- Cost: 5 motes
- Duration: One Scene
- Type: Speech
- Minimum Linguistics: 3
- Minimum Moe: 2
- Prerequisite Charms: Basic Linguistics Protocol
The Helping Goddess takes on some verbal tick, such as always repeating her name after every sentence. People find this cute, rather than insanity-inducing, and as a result, all three of your social attributes rise by 1 for the duration of the scene. This Protocol cannot be made to stack on itself.
