The Prophecy of Four
The Dragons’ power, all for naught
The Dark Ones’ vengeance, fails and rots
‘Fore power born of mortal woe
Darkness falls where Nightfall goes…
Not vice or virtue shall be spared
From deathly horror he’s prepared
He shall not stop; he’ll not be slowed
Night will rise where light once glowed…
Dragons roar and soar and strike!
Armies ride and battle Night!
Broken and shattered upon the field
Night’s fell power Will Not Yield!
Dark Ones’ servants strike a blow
Gather power to lay him low
Are snuffed like matches as he goes
Darkness reigns where Nightfall grows…
Against this Night’s fell travail.
The Dragons’ lore will not prevail.
Other heroes must be chosen.
To bring Night’s chapter to a closing…
Chaos born of Moon’s embrace
At her call the wolven race
Sister-child to the Moon
Fights against the Night’s fell doom…
Blood-red hair and yellow eyes
He fights to take the Nightfall’s prize
O’er lesser men his darkness looms
In his hand a million dooms…
The winter’s frost is in his wake.
The Nightfall’s doom is his to make.
Cold blue eyes like twilight’s gloom.
Rakish smile, maidens swoon…
In these hands the world rests.
Will they stand against the tests?
In their hands the world saved.
Or damned forever by Nightfall’s rage…
Comments
This all was partially inspired by the poem from a book called Nightfall that I read, oh about an eon ago. Also, the PCs for this game are a Lunar, a rogue Abyssal, and a Solar who were all married to each other in the First Age, so the interpersonal dynamic should be... robust to say the least. -MadGreenSon
