Background
Born in Yane, the capital of the Varang city-states, of parents of good standing the Tinker was destined at birth to be a clockworker and artificer, something that suited him well. At an early age he was exposed to clockworks, sent up into the clocktowers and orrerries of the city with a well-known watchmaker, and his understanding swelled.
Years later, a clockworker of no small renown himself, he would have a prosperous business if he had a better head for business and accounting than he actually does. Instead his fascination with machinery and artifice often blinds him to
Exaltation
Tinker's Exaltation came subtly to him, so subtly that, at first, he didn't even notice. Working for a whole day on a pet project, the creation of a clockwork helper, his understanding of the intricacies of gearing mechanisms and reciprocating linkages seemed to somehow flow clearer and easier than ever before, his hands blurring over the springs and rods of his workshop.
Two days later, his work was complete and he looked up to note that his clock had stopped - since it was almost three in the morning, and yet his workshop was flooded with sunlight.
Appearance
When he's not covered with grease and oil, with his long hair loose and his eyes shielded behind dark glass, Tinker could be considered quite handsome.
