Dodge Charms
- Momentary Awareness Prana: Die adder+
- Simple Sidestep Technique: Reflexive Dodge
- Deserved Rebuttal: Limited Counterattack
- Seeing Dust Motes Moment: (onefold) Bulwark Stance
- Moment of Departure: Perfect Dodge prereq: both Rebuttal and Moment
- Simple Sidestep Technique: Reflexive Dodge
Momentary Awareness Prana
- Cost: 1 mote per die
- Instant
- Reflexive
- Min Dodge 2
- Min Essence 1
The Exalt is momentarily aware of all around her, and so easily moves to avoid an attack. For each mote spent, add 2 dice to an attempt to dodge. The character cannot gain more dice than her regular Dodge pool. If an Exalt spends at least one die on this Charm, she may dodge attacks of which she is not aware. The Dodgestill requires a die action.
- If it requires an action, it's a Supplemental Charm. A regular Dodge 'pool' is the total dice rolled to dodge; you want 'unmodified Dodge Ability.' _Wohksworth
Simple Sidestep Technique
- Cost: 1 mote
- Instant
- Reflexive
- Min Dodge 3
- Min Essence 1
- Prerequisite Charm: Momentary Awareness Prana
The character merely steps to the side, dodging with her full Dexterity+Dodge pool.
Deserved Rebuttal
- Cost: 2 motes
- Instant
- Reflexive
- Min Dodge 5
- Min Essence 1
- Prerequisite Charm: Simple Sidestep Technique
As the character ducks to the side, she swings out to counterattack. After succesfully dodging a hand to hand attack, the character may immediately make an attack at her full Dexterity+Ability pool againist the agressor. This is a Counterattack Charm.
Seeing Dust Motes Moment
- Cost: 2 motes
- Until Next Action
- Reflexive
- Min Dodge 4
- Min Essence 2
- Prerequisite Charm: Simple Sidestep Technique
The character opens her mind, seeing every attack aimed againist her. Until her next non-reflexive action, the character may dodge every attack aimed at her with her full Dexterity+Dodge pool.
Moment of Depature
- Cost: 3 motes, 1 willpower
- Instant
- Reflexive
- Min Dodge 5
- Min Essence 3
- Prerequisite Charm: Deserved Rebuttal, Seeing Dust Motes Moment
The character forces herself out of reality for a moment, avoiding all damage. This is a perfect dodge. It sure as hell doesn't trump applicability.
Comments
General belief is a Willpower point is the defining cost which trumps applicability: see HGD versus SSE. But that's hardly set in stone, especially when designing a whole new character type. The visual description implies to me that it would trump applicability: see the Alchemical Charm 'Transphase Engine' as a roundabout example. May want to do something about that. _Wohksworth
Hmm. Doesn't Portentous Comet Deflection mode require willpower, and not trump? That was the intended comparsion, not Seven Shadow. Visuals, yeah, that occured to me, but I like it for now.
