The Humble Fist of Ice Style was developed in the Second Age a scant century ago. An air aspected Icewalker Dragonblooded named Daman Kurin developed this style to emulate the slow killing power of the icy north. Its creation enjoyed initial success before the rise of the Bull of the North. Now those who once learned it find themselves being killed by the Bull as he expands. Now it has become a rather underground style. While its name implies humility often the users of it become more cold and arrogant then humble at all feeling that they have mastered the power of the north. Daman Kurin never meant for that. He wanted those who learned this style to always remember the danger of the north not to think that one can master it. The style is compatible with the cestus, khatar and tiger claws and is compatible with armor as well as artifact equivilants of each. This is an elemental style aspected to the element of Air. Water and Air aspects pay no surcharge on this style.
Humble Fist of Ice Style

The training of a Humble Fist of Ice practitioner is done in the far north where the blizzards often blind a man as surely as night would. Training in such conditions the martial artist learns to see with an inner eye. The character ignores all weather related penalties to sight. The dark of night or things like that are not weather related penalties.

When the cold seeps into your bones its hard to make yourself move. Infusing his fist with the essence of cold the martial artist strikes out and leaves her foe a shivering mess unable to fight back. This charm doubles wound penalties that the attack this charm supplements causes.

In the north the ground itself is often frozen. Digging in such earth is almost futile no matter how strong one is. Such is like attacking a Humble Fist of Ice warrior. When this charm is activated the character increases their lethal and bashing soak by their essence for the scene. This charm is compatible with armor.

The chill wind of the north cuts through all clothes right to the bone and the heart. The martial artist takes the stance of the Snow Lion, the Snow Squid, and then finally the Snow Eagle. Emulating these three one after the other in form grants the fists of the martial artist that same cutting nature as the cold of the north. His attacks are piercing from then on. However while cold does cut through clothes to the bone fire can hold back its power. For the rest of the scene the martial artist also takes an additional 4 dice of damage from fire based attacks.

You can not walk through a blizzard without getting some snow on you. Nor can you face a skilled user of the Humble Fist of Ice Style without his blows landing on you. Ignoring rate the martial artist makes a number of full dice pool attacks equal to his Essence.
Slowed Glacier Blow

In the north the glaciers move slowly. Ever so slowly. There is another danger in the north. That you too will freeze and become as the glaciers. The martial artist claps his hands together, swirling ice forming around them then touches a hand to his foe. Inside their body their muscles, their blood, their mind all slow down as the essence of ice infuses into them. This charm lets the martial artist make a single attack at an opponent. On a successful hit wether damage is done or not the target finds the speed of all their actions increased by 1. Their total speed can not increase by more then 3 or beyond 8. This increased speed goes back to normal after a number of scenes equal to the penalty or after one scene of huddling by a fire.

The most serious danger of the north is when the truely cold wind blows. All in its passage turns to ice. And like the icicles that dangle from the rooves of northern homes all it takes is a light push to make it snap. This charm comes in two parts. Against your average foe a successful hit and damage roll when using this charm causes the target to lose use of a leg or arm from the extreme numbing cold. However if the person hit is allready suffering the effects of Slowed Glacier Blow that limb instead freezes. Any called shot at that frozen and useless limb that hits and does at least one level of damage shatters the limb entirely. If the limb that is frozen is not broken it takes a difficulty 4 medicine roll to thaw it out safely.
