Hand-to-Hand Combat Charms

Monkey Arm Style (Dex): Reflexive (Step 1); 2/1; Combo-OK, Obvious; Spend 2m to make hand-to-hand attack at up to (Essence x2) yards range. Can also be used for miscellaneous combat actions like picking up dropped weapons and the like. [Prereq.

Foot-Confusing Buffet (Dex): Supplemental; 3/1; Combo-OK; Spend 2m when making hand-to-hand attack to deal no damage – instead, every success over target’s DV adds 1 tick to time they must wait to take next action. [Prereq.

Door-Breaking Method (Str): Supplemental; 3/2; Combo-OK; When making a hand-to-hand attack against an inanimate object, multiply damage successes by number of motes spent, to a maximum of (Essence) motes. [Prereq.

Hunter’s Eye Method (Str): Supplemental; 3/2; Combo-OK; For 4m, this attack deals piercing damage. Has no effect if attack already deals piercing damage. [Prereq.

Angry Rhino Charge (Str): Reflexive (Step 7); 2/2; Combo-OK; For 1m/2 dice, may purchase additional damage dice on a hand-to-hand attack that only count toward determining knockdown/knockback, to a maximum of (Strength) damage. [Prereq.

Twisting Surprise Attack (Dex): Supplemental; 2/2; Combo-OK; For 3m, this hand-to-hand attack inflicts no DV penalty on the character for making it. [Prereq.

Hydra Head Attack (Dex): Extra Action; 3/3; Combo-OK; For 6m, may make a magical flurry of hand-to-hand attacks at a single target equal to the number of ticks until the target’s next action at a total of –1 DV and no multiple action penalties. [Prereq.

Dust Devil Advance (Dex): Reflexive (Step 1 or 2); 5/3; Combo-OK, Obvious; By spending 3m and 1wp, Lunar reduces Speed of all combat actions by one-half (Dexterity) to a minimum of Speed 3 – this ability also reduces any effect that increases the number of ticks until the Lunar’s next action. The Lunar is considered aware of all attacks, and cannot be outflanked or forced into a position that allows an opponent a “shot at her back.” These benefits only apply as long as the Essence remains committed and the Lunar declares a Move action on every tick – if she fails to Move on any tick, the effect ends immediately and the wait until her next action is increased appropriately. Foe-Driving Attack (Dex): Extra Action; 4/3; Combo-OK; For 5m and 1wp, the Lunar may make a magical flurry of hand-to-hand attacks at no multiple action penalties and only –1 DV – unlike an ordinary flurry, she does not declare how many attacks she will make in advance. Instead, she may declare an additional attack each time the current attack achieves at least 3 successes on the attack roll (it need not hit), to a maximum of (Dexterity) total attacks. [Prereq.

Tiger Claw Swat (Str): Simple; 4/3; Combo-OK; The Lunar makes a hand-to-hand attack that deals additional damage dice before soak for 2m/die and reduces the target’s Parry DV by the same amount, to a maximum of 2x (Essence) motes. These dice are considered Strength dice for the purposes of dice caps. [Prereq.

Ferocious Avalanche Technique (Dex)
Supplemental; 3/2; Combo-OK, Obvious; For every mote spent, to a maximum of Dexterity motes, target of this hand-to-hand attack must either Move backward one yard or grant the Lunar’s attack +1 Accuracy. If the target has not already used their Move action for this tick, they may do so reflexively in response to this Charm’s use. [Prereq.: Foot-Confusing Buffet]
Irresistible Storm Attack (Dex)
Extra Action; 5/3; Combo-OK, Obvious; Spend 6m and 1wp to gain a magical flurry that consists of single hand-to-hand attacks against a number of targets equal to (Essence) – all targets must be within 2x (Dexterity) yards. In addition, for every 1m spent when activating Charm, target’s must Move backward one yard or grant the Lunar +1 Accuracy on that attack, per the Ferocious Avalanche Technique. Limb-Maiming Flourish (Str)
Supplemental; 4/4; Combo-OK, Crippling; By spending 6m, the Lunar may choose to trade 2hls of rolled damage for –1 to one of target’s Phyical Attributes or Appearance. Exalts heal Attribute loss at a rate of 1 dot/week, but mortals never heal dots lost in this way. [Prereq.: Tiger Claw Swat.]
