The Floating Dead is a pirate band of some 100 or so ships commanded by the deathknight the Merchant of Bones. It is, effectively, Thorns' navy.

Composition
- 30 triremes
- 30 biremes
- 30 blue-water merchants
- 10 large yachts
Method of Operation
The fleet is crewed by undead (zombie oarsmen, nemissary officers, etc.), ghost-blooded, half-castes, and unlucky living crew. Said living tend to go insane.
The fleet operates in twenty squadrons of five ships each, operating as either pirates or shore raiders.
Raiding Squadron
- 3 biremes
- 2 blue-water merchants
Tactics for a raiding squadron are simple: Nemissaries or war ghosts
Pirate Squadron
- 3 triremes
- 1 blue-water merchant
- 1 large yacht
Ships
Generic ships and their equally generic commanders and crew.
