Appearance
A tall, lushly figured woman always dressed in black. Her face is coldly beautiful as a marble statue's, her hair and eyes dark as midnight, her lips red as blood. She has a way of smiling that alleviates the icyness of her demeanor, and it is perhaps then that she is the most dangerous.
Backgrounds
Followers 3: The Singer has a cadre of devoted acolytes. Though mortal, they are well trained to defend their mistress, if necessary, and are well-versed in matters pertaining to the dead.
Liege 3: The Bitter Maiden of the Devouring Sorrow is the Singer's liege, and the Singer is the Deathlord's only Abyssal (so far) and most adept agent in the mortal world. The Bitter Maiden prizes the Singer highly, and the Singer is utterly devoted to the forces of Oblivion.
Resources 2: The Singer receives a great many offerings from her people in the Desert of Plague's Triumph, which she uses at her discretion (after sacrificing a portion, of course).
Spies 3: Information is the Singer's biggest commodity. From her central location in the Southeast, she gathers information from Harborhead, Varang... as far south as Gem and as far north as the Scavenger Lands. Very little of import happens in these lands that she is not eventually made aware of. She is particularly interested in news of Solar Exalted.
Whispers 4: The Singer worshipped the darkness long before her Exaltation, and when the Bitter Maiden touched her soul, the darkness entered her heart, never to leave again. She can hear it speak to her, guiding her to the best will of the dead gods she ultimately serves.
Tales
- The Singer of the Solemn and Endless Dirge first appears in the tale Scion of the Unconquered Sun.
- The Singer of the Solemn and Endless Dirge works the will of her masters in the tale Interlude: A Night On The Road.
Changes
These are the changes that occur to the Singer of the Solemn and Endless Dirge over the course of time. After each new statistic the title of the story in which she first possesses the new trait.
- Abyssal Command 2: The Singer is granted a sacrificial force of undead to distract the Wyld Hunters in Interlude: A Night On The Road.
