Whisper of the Hungry Blade
Cost: 7 motes, 1 willpower Duration: Instant Type: simple Minimum Melee: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Sandstorm-Wind attack
By swinging his weapon, the solar is able to crush his enemy's will. He is able to produce a vision of his enemy's death and empathically make him watch it, thus crushing his morale.\\ Mechanically, the character rolls manipulation+melee to attack, doing essense damage. The target can take an action to either dodge or parry, using temperance + the corresponding ability. His soak equals his Valor. For every success in the damage roll, the target loses one temporary willpower.\\
Comments
Hokay.\\ First, a standard naming format for where Charms should go already exists, and how new Charm pages should be created. Ditto ditto how to display them. Following it would be a Good Idea. If youre unclear, find someone's Charms, edit the page to see how they typed it up, and mimic such.\\ Second, this is no where NEAR an Essence 4 Charm. I could see it as Essence 3. Moreoever, it's not really a Melee thing- more like a Socialize or Performance Charm with highly useful combat purposes. Hm... actually, I rather like that... :)\\ Third, Solars don't really make as extreme a use of the Virtues to power their Charms as, say, Spirits or Siddies. It feels rather excessive here.DS
Seems like I have to check format out, being new to wiki. I went for essence 4 since its not directly melee. As for the vitrue thing, I was inspired from Time of Tulmut and a spiritual combat in it. After all, this is a battle of wills. I will think about it being a presence or performance charm. After all it is causing damage, saping someone of his will
