In the first age, many lunars shunned the idea of the warstrider, considering them crutches for the weak, signs of a reliance too much on the works of metal and too little on one's own power - but this was not uniformly true. One solar constructed this warstrider for her spider-totem husband; it was designed to shift and change with him as he took his beastman form. Constructed mostly of moonsilver, in its normal form it appears to be a sleek Royal warstrider, all shaped with sloping, rounded edges and no apparent seams; when one seeks to enter or exit the warstrider, a portal seems to shift into place where needed. Inside, as opposed to the standard control restraints, the interior is a bath of liquid glass, cool to the touch; it envelops the user, transmitting air directly through its substance from the exterior, and the user is able to see everything that the eyes of the warstrider see. This eliminates the perception penalties normally suffered in a warstrider. In this shape, the warstrider grants a strength of 16.

The greatest powers of this weapon, however, are unlocked if the user activates deadly beastman transformation. The warstrider transforms to their shape, changing the strength that it grants from 16 to +12, added to the user's strength after all charms apply. If the user is a spider totem, the warstrider also gains all of the beastman gifts that the user has - extra arms with barbed claws, or a moonsilver skin that flows back to heal itself, even soaring wings or gills. Even if the gifts would be abnormal for a spider, they still carry forward to the warstrider.

The warstrider has a set of warstrider razor claws integrated into its hands when in beastman mode; they must be attuned to be used, but cannot be removed from the machine. Their stats are speed 5, accuracy +3, defense + 0, damage +10L, rate 3, attune 3. If a beastman form grants extra arms, each will also be equipped with these razor claws, although those copies will not need to be attuned. The razor claws are designed not to impede the hands ability to hold other weapons.

The warstrider requires a hearthstone of at least level three to function.
