Auditor's Ear

  • Cost: 2 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Re-fun
  • Minimum Linguistics: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Linguistics

The Bishonen can tell a real accent from a fake, an artiste of language from a poseur. Unless the target has superior Moe, the Bishonen can instantly tell if someone is using charms or sorcery to augment their linguistic abilities, what languages someone knows, and how well they speak them, along with what their native tongue is, just from listening to them briefly.

Once Heard, Twice Spoken

  • Cost: 4 motes
  • Duration: Moe Minutes
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Auditor's Ear

The Bishonen may replay anything he has heard, making it repeat out loud for all to hear, whether he can consciously remember any of the content.

Double Speak

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Moe sentences or a single social action
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Linguistics: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Linguistics

This may be comboed with charms of different abilities. When the Bishonen speaks, he can choose up to his Moe in people who hear a different message than the one heard by everyone else. This can be used to, say, hide a Presence action from being noticed if it's directed at one of the people who hears the hidden message.

Covert Communication

  • Cost: 4 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Double Speak

For the duration of a scene, the Bishonen can communicate with Moe people unnoticed, so long as they can hear him. They could be on opposite sides of a crowded room, though.

Far Speech Prana

  • Cost: 1 mote/100 miles, 1 WP
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Double Speak

The Bishonen can now speak with one friend at a great distance, up to 100 miles away for every mote spent.

Encode Message

  • Cost: 1 mote / Sentence
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Linguistics

The Bishonen converts a written message into a coded one which no mundane code-breaking can crack without having the key in hand.

Decode Message

  • Cost: 2 motes / Sentence
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Encode Message

The Bishonen can read any message coded by mundane means automatically. He can roll Wits + Linguistics with a difficulty of the code-creator's Moe to break any magical code.

Fairness of Speech

  • Cost: 2 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Graceful Bishonen Linguistics

Bishonen speak with elegance and grace, their words flowing smoothly. This gives the Bishonen a 3 die specialty in any language family he already speaks, for the duration of the scene. Everyone will believe you a native speaker of great eloquence.

Wise Tongue Prana

  • Cost: 4 motes
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Fairness of Speech

A truly elegant traveler learns the languages of foreign lands, that he might be a better guest and host. For the Bishonen, language masteries come easily. For one scene, he may speak one language family he normally does not know; he is clearly not a master of the tongue, however, unless he uses other charms to pass as such.

Curse of Babble

  • Cost: 6 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Wise Tongue Prana

What one hand gives, the other takes away. The Bishonen points at a target and rolls Manipulation + Linguistics with a difficulty of the target's Moe + Linguistics. If he succeeds, the target cannot be understood by anyone else for the rest of the scene, nor can he understand anyone else.

Speech of Distant Lands

  • Cost: None
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Type: Permanent
  • Minimum Linguistics: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Wise Tongue Prana

The Bishonen masters another language family when he takes this charm, gaining the ability to speak it (and write it if he has Lore 1 or more), and gaining a specialty equal in dice to his Moe (max of 3) in it.

Universal Speech Mastery

  • Cost: 2 motes, 1 WP
  • Duration: One Scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Linguistics: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Wise Tongue Prana

The Bishonen can speak to and understand anyone. If he has Lore, he can read and write any language, though this won't break codes.

Comments

Solid charms, all. Much better than the stuff in the Core(s), in my opinion. The only charm missing is a code-breaker, truly. -- GreenLantern

Thanks! I added a few code charms as you suggested --JohnBiles
