This looks very cool.  If it's to be a campaign-independent resource, perhaps it should be made a group project and placed in one of the public directories (I'd suggest Locations/[[MercenaryCompanies/Locations]])? - [[Quendalon]]

Herein is contained The Full Register of All Known Mercenary Companies in Creation.

Hire at your own risk; while some fight with the loyalty of a true man forsaken by Heaven, others will change banners midbattle for a purse one coin heavier.

My goal here is to detail as many mercenary companies as I can; most are my own creation. If you're aware of any canon companies, feel free to note them up with where they're located. I'm trying to keep this as a campaign independent source, and so minimize references to specific directions, but I do intend to use many of these in the Violet Coast of Tinalion. DS

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/GreatSharkCompany - Irregular skirmishers who use terrain and stealth to strike at an enemies supply lines and outer patrols.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/TheThirdTriumphOfSwords - A full scale of Blademasters, each individually a capable champion; together, they will cut any who crosses their path - be they man, God or Exalt.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/TheTwinHandsOfGod - A pair of identical twins form the Hands of God. He is a masterful warrior with an ancient weapon; she is a tactical genius. Their reputation has attracted a following- on the battlefield, the champion fights apart from the sister's commands, moving as Fate wills, striking down those Fate chooses.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/OneHundredAuspiciousSouls - One of the larger single mercenary companies in Creation, the Hundred Auspicious Souls number nearly three hundred, and form a well mixed military, capable of wresting away most smaller kingdoms. However, it is led by a Godblood, the child of a full Direction, and so only takes contracts that also further the Father's aims.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/SaffronMantisCompany - A mercenary company of travelling warrior-monks, united in their heretical and secret style. Founded hundreds of years ago by an Exalt who used the Mantis Style, the monks bear only their wooden staves into battle- and like the mantis, are noted for pouncing upon slower enemies, then swiftly biting off the head.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/TheFirstIncomparableSpear - A formerly ragged company of spearmen, they accidentally came across a long forgotten cache of very small Essence Cannons. Now a full scale strong and better armed than almost any other mercenary company, they are led by the natural savant who repaired the Spears of Heaven through pure intuition... and a lifetime of training he's tried to forget.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/TheSonStealingSunset - A fang of men only, dressed uniformly in blacks and deep reds. They can be distinguished only by the onyx beads worn on their belt. The Son Stealing Sunset are assassins, who sneak into camps during the night to assassinate any they can, before melting away and letting the gruesome discoveries be found. They wear a bead for each man they have killed; the current leader has over a hundred, wound around himself like a belt.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/EighthLordOfSuffering - The First Lord of Suffering was a noble dispossed of his land, when he was forced to flee from impending invasion. He swore that he and his would not rest until what was theirs was restored. He and his bodyguards were bound together in an undying oath that extends to the tenth generation- they would know only war and death, and any male children they sired would enter into the service of the Lord of Suffering. The Eighth Lord is the eldest direct descendent; the oath is remembered but the ancestral land is forgotten. Now only malice and money motivate his cruelty.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/OneThousandFieryStrikes - Twin scales, one composed purely of spearmen and one of archers. They are led by seperate commanders, childhood friends who claim they share a single soul, and they do show a remarkable amount of teamwork together. Every member of the One Thousand Firery Strikes is branded with either the spear or the arrow on his right wrist, as a reminder that nothing is gained without pain and ruin.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/SaltSwordCompany - The Salt Sword Company is half mercenary, half scavanger bandit. They are led by the Godblooded child of a powerful Nemesary, who uses his own dark magics to still the lower souls, or bring them up to command against their enemies. Thus, the Salt Sword company loots the field of battle without fear; while others bury the dead and their grave good with reverence, they profit from the carnage.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/TheDozenJadeDragons - The Dozen Jade Dragons are a collection of landless nobility, each of whom can claim descent from a Prince of the Earth- though they have been sometimes persuaded to take on a member without certain proof, for the right amount of jade. They are a heavy cavalry unit, fashioned after the ideal of the samarui warrior, riding down and cutting apart the lower enemy.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/SailorsOnTheStormOfHell - The Sailors crew a damned ship, led by a devil in human skin. No one will admit to hiring the Sailors, but they rarely lack for work- the terror they sow in an enemy is fierce.

Locations/MercenaryCompanies/ThePlatinumTigerCompany - New formed, the Platinum Tiger Company has yet to be trully tested. A scale of diverse warriors, with a mix of archery and melee, and led by a Wyld touched wizard, who rides a white tiger easily as big as a full warhorse.

This looks very cool. If it's to be a campaign-independent resource, perhaps it should be made a group project and placed in one of the public directories (I'd suggestLocations/MercenaryCompanies/Locations)? - Quendalon
