The deathlord who resides in the Hidden Tabernacle northwest of Whitewall. He has vast influence on the living world in this region, and is a suitable foe for most chronicles set in the North. He's a master martial artist and bears a black jade crozier, but doesn't use it as a weapon. He's also completely nuts.
Other Epithets and Titles
- The Shining One
- The Diaconate of Silent Vespers
Breaking his titles down by definition...
- Bishop: A high or chief priest
- Chalcedony: A precious (or semi-precious) stone, which in its various tints is largely used in lapidary work: a cryptocrystalline sub-species of quartz (a true quartz, with some disseminated opal-quartz), having the lustre nearly of wax, and being either transparent or translucent.
- Thurible: A vessel in which incense is burnt in religious ceremonies; a censer.
- Shining One: Seems fairly obvious; see also the Shining Path terrorist (or freedom-fighter, take your pick) group of Peru for odd inspiration, as one of the Bishop's religious movements is also named the Shining Path. [| Google search on the Shining Path]
- Diaconate: The office or rank of deacon.
- Deacon: The name of an order of ministers or officers in the Christian church, in Apostolic times.
- Silent: Quiet. Without noise or sound.
- Vespers: Evening prayers or devotions.
