Diamond Court
Centuries ago the diamond court stood as the principle celebrant of conviction under the rule of Queen Kanatharitha. As with the courts of the present day it was a great power commanding substantial forces and political influence. However the Raksha of this court became arrogant, even by the standards of their conceited race, and set itself against the other four courts declaring that Conviction with the cardinal and only virtue. Those virtues followed by their rivals were merely petty imitations of the one true path. What is more the warriors of the diamond court began raiding wantonly throughout creation leaving behind evidence that implicated their rivals in an attempt to ignite a war with the humans and force the other courts to unite under their banner.
The response was not what they had expected. The Tepet legions marched on the diamond court penetrating deep into the wyld with help from the guild and various powerful sorceries. The diamond court was wiped from existence. Its Queen and her nobility were slaughtered, their palaces of gossamer toppled and burned and the ground where it stood sown with iron as the other courts stood by and offered no assistance. Some say that the rival courts may even have allied themselves with the realm sending warriors to help guide the legions through the hazardous wyld but if this is true it is kept secret.
With the fall of the diamond court the various households and nobles competed amongst themselves until Duke Aral emerged as them most powerful and founded the Ruby court which has endured to this day.
