Our narrators:
Cathak Meladus, Occult Engeneer. Once very head in the clouds, Thorns has dimmed his enthusiasm.
Kasif, Orphan Outcaste turned well meaning Immculate
Ledaal Kes, Gateway Master (who played with the empress at 8), gay spy prettyboy, member of All-Seeing Eye.
Tepet Elana, formerly of Vermilion Legion (and former girl toy of the empress), Loyal honest Magistrate
Tepet Arada, one old, mean, powerful son of a bitch. Warrior who defeated Joachim and faced the Bull of the North only to be brought low by bitterness and the bottle.
Set up is normal, as per for a Castebook ... Exaltation (with secondary school as a part), Obligations, views on others, others' views on them. Very few views not from DBs and Mortals ... some Spirits or Sidereals.
Old Friends: Tepet Arada, Tepet Ejava, Sesus Negazzer.
Mnemon gets mention, but never appears/says anything.
Linguistics Charms (4): none require more than 3 essence. 3 are oriented toward writing, something new. The other is a specialty buyer.
Lore Charms (5): four deal with retaining, accessing, or teaching knowledge ... no cool elemental effects. One is a specialty buyer. One is essence 4.
Occult Charms (4): Two are for sniffing materials (Jade, then others ... but cannot sniff attuned ones!) one is for reverse-engineering artifacts, the other is a specialty success buyer. None over essence 3.
Stealth Charms (4): Two hiding in plain sight ones (one like easily overlooked, one to ignore what the user is doing), one to hide again once found, one is a specialty success buyer. All essence 3 expect 1 essence 4.
Thrown Charms (4): all are part of a crosswinds "style" of thrown ... using wind to direct attacks around defenses ... one avoids cover, one makes dodging harder, one provides knockback, one provides piercing damage. No success buyer, none requires over essence 2.
Craft Charms (1): requires Linguistics. Provide a report on how to do a task requring great Occult expertise so lessers can do it. None require over essence 3.
