Mirror Weapon
Artifact 2 -- by BrilliantRain
Once there was a Warrior. This Warrior required a Weapon. So he found a Craftsman, and bid him create a Weapon of Power, that he might wield it and become more famous throught the land. And the Craftsman did agree to perform this great task. The Warrior left. After a Year and a Day, the Warrior returned to the Craftstman and did spake "Is it finished?" The Craftsman responded "Yup. Built it just like you said. Here is your one Hooked Daiklave." And the Warrior waxed wroth, saying "Whadda ya mean one?!?! Hooked Daiklaves are used in pairs! What am I supposed to do with one?!?!?" And the Craftsman, remaining serene in the knowledge that he had taken the Warrior down a peg, said "You use this." and handed him a curious looking weapon, for it had no blade and a metal sphere in it's one hearthstone setting. The Warrior wondered at this and did spake, "What does this do?" The Craftsman, confidant in the knowledge that he will soon make another sale, said, "Let me show you....."
There are many versions of this artifact. All of them look like bladeless-hilts of one handed weapons made of one of the 5MMs and they all have one hearthstone setting with a sphere of that same 5MM in it. If the sphere is placed into one of the hearthstone settings of a weapon of a similar type, the Mirror Weapon duplicates the physical properties of the first weapon, including, if nessicarry, it's shape. It thus acts as a weapon with the same statistics of the of the other weapon, but it gains none of the other weapons special powers, such as making multiple attacks, boosting stats, negating penalties, shooting bolts of solar flame, etc. The weapon to be duplicated must be made of the same MM as the Mirror Weapon. Costs 5 motes to attune and gets the standard MM attunement bonuses.
