The bauble is a trinket, no more, a small thing to be ignored utterly by most exalts; and yet cherished and vital to those who need it. It is a triangle of yellow jade, looking akin to a hearthstone amulet, triangular and unadorned; the jade itself seems rough-edged, as if the amulet itself were a natural aggregation of the mineral. In the center of the amulet, where the hearthstone socket would normally be, is a lump of rough blackish purple crystal, like some congealed glass slag; the crystal is always cracked and pitted, with no lustre to its surface. The device can be used by anyone and requires no attunement; any being who bears it against their skin has their essence respiration rate increased by one mote per hour regardless of activity. For most exalts, this is a near pointless boon; but for thaumaturges, mortal martial artists, and even the rare mortal sorceror, the stone is a boon that makes them far more capable. | The bauble is a trinket, no more, a small thing to be ignored utterly by most exalts; and yet cherished and vital to those who need it.
