Will of the Unconquered Warrior
Cost: 2 motes per health level Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Resistance: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Pre-Requisite Charms: Adamant Skin Technique
The Solars of the First Age had legendary fortitude. While newly Exalted Solars find the Adamant Skin Technique to be the pinnacle of self-defence, they still remain unaware of the further refinements that invincibility can stand. This charm may be activated as soon as the Exalt knows how many health levels he is to lose from any given source, and what type of damage it is. By paying the Essence, he can simply negate the damage.
- I'm still not sure that this is good enough for 6/6... should I drop it to 5/5? It's certainly powerful, since it works on post-soak, post-rolling damage levels and doesn't require any Willpower or health levels, but is it awesomely powerful? - Falcon
- Well, going off Martial Arts (The Violet Bier Of Sorrows), its a 5/2 effect. And Solar Resistance should be better than, or on par with a Celestial Martial Art, so even 5/5 is way out, I think. - Kraken
- Yeek. I hadn't noticed that. I think it works as a 5/3, because Adamant Skin is 5/3 also, and you may still prefer to use that over this. The VBoS charm is slightly weaker because it requires you to at least attempt to parry before negating the damage. This one just lets you suck it up. And it works on non-combat damage, too. Clearly I need to think of something even better for a high-essence Resistance charm... - F
Blinding Light Of The Righteous Warrior
Cost: 4 motes Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Resistance: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Pre-Requisite Charms: Adamant Skin Technique
The Solar Exalted are the rightful rulers of all Creation. Even if others fail to acknowledge this, their own essence knows it to be true and is capable of harshly punishing those who would usurp the divine order.
Whenever a Solar is damaged by an assailant or suffers some other negative effect from one of their attacks or direct power use against him, he may activate this charm. His essence lashes out unerringly at the fool who triggered his ire, grounding its righteous wrath through them in a blast of light. They take dice of aggravated damage (bypassing armour) equal to the Exalt's Essence. There is no range limit on this charm - if the Solar can be assaulted, he can assault back - but it only responds to direct attacks.
This charm doesn't work against other Solars. At the GM's discretion it will also fail if the attack is not contrary to the order of Heaven.
