Lolitas are stubborn and relentless, and their eyes see through manifold layers of cuteness to reveal just how pathetic and pitiful their enemies are. There’s no escape to the eyes of a Gothic Lolita, and no amount of crappy emotional monologues can sway them, so do their arrows strike mercilessly, ignoring any defense. For every mote of Essence the Lolita spends, she may reduce the dice pool of the target’s first defensive action by one die OR add one die to the damage of an attack against a living target. This Charm cannot reduce a character’s dice pool below her Moe, nor can it add more damage than the Lolita’s Moe. The Lolita can use both effects of this Charm at the same time, provided she can afford the Moe expenditure.

The Lolita’s words and actions are both delicately subtle and extremely painful, and the little girl rejoices in the suffering and angst she provokes in others. Her attack inflicts piercing damage (halves armor soak), and the Lolita regains one mote of Essence for every health level of damage her arrow inflicts on a living target. For an additional mote, the Loli can use this Charm even when out of ammo, shaping her Moe into a tiny razor-sharp crystal splinter that gives this Charm its name.

Ammunition is not a problem to Lolitas who know this Charm, which allows them to shape their Essence in the form of dark energy arrows. The Velka-Type Reloading System was originally created by the Helping Goddesses for the Magical Girls, with the aid of Otakuchton, to allow them to use powerful magical weapons overcoming their excessive Moe expenses, which most Magical Girls can’t afford. In the current times, Velka-Type weapons are extremely rare among Magical Girls (and much more common among Helping Goddesses), but the Lords of No Fun have reviewed their design for their Gothic Lolitas. Each such attack costs one mote of Essence. The Lolita can attack as if using any form of ammunition without Resources cost (broadhead, fowling, frog crotch or target arrows). If the character spends an additional mote per arrow, she can shape it even without the need for a bow.

The character shapes her Essence in the form of a pair of impressive black wings, which do not allow the Exalt to fly but do increase her mobility and protect her from enemy attacks. The Black Feather Armor has a 1B/1L rating for every mote of Moe committed to it and has no mobility penalty or fatigue value. The Lolita’s running, sprinting and jumping distances are triple while the armor is active. This armor is fully compatible with and additive to physical armor. The maximum rating of the armor is the Lolita’s Moe + Archery.

The Lolita creates an arrow of her twisted Moe. It is translucent and glows with an eerie light, and it hums charmingly as it pierces the air between the Loli and her target. This is fired as a normal arrow, but dematerializes as it leaves the bow. The arrow remains visible but incorporeal, capable of passing through solid matter undisturbed. The arrow only rematerializes if it intersects a living being in its path. Since the bolt bypasses walls and armor, victims can only soak the attack with their Stamina and other natural soak. The arrow does a base damage of twice the number of motes spent conjuring the arrow. The character cannot spend more motes than her Moe + Archery. The character’s bow does not add to the damage of the attack. Against Alien Princesses, mutants or other creatures of the Wyld, the reverse Moe inflicts aggravated damage.

She may halve the base damage of the attack but instead deal aggravated damage. If such an attack hits an Alien Princess or any other creature who would have taken aggravated damage in any case, the character adds her Moe to the post-soak damage dice pool. Trees and other living barriers provide cover normally. This Charm also allows the character to hit dematerialized spirits, although it does not kill them permanently. Any incorporeal spirit struck by the Moe Stream manifests to all onlookers for the rest of the scene as a glowing, super-deformed, intangible apparition.

Eyes of the Loli Arrow

  • Cost: 1 mote per die
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Archery: 2
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Archery Insight of the Lolita

Lolitas are stubborn and relentless, and their eyes see through manifold layers of cuteness to reveal just how pathetic and pitiful their enemies are. There’s no escape to the eyes of a Gothic Lolita, and no amount of crappy emotional monologues can sway them, so do their arrows strike mercilessly, ignoring any defense. For every mote of Moe the Lolita spends, she may reduce the dice pool of the target’s first defensive action by one die OR add one die to the damage of an attack against a living target. This Charm cannot reduce a character’s dice pool below her Moe, nor can it add more damage than the Lolita’s Moe. The Lolita can use both effects of this Charm at the same time, provided she can afford the Moe expenditure.

Black Crystal Splinter

  • Cost: 4 motes (5 if the arrow is created)
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Archery: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Eyes of the Loli Arrow

The Lolita’s words and actions are both delicately subtle and extremely painful, and the little girl rejoices in the suffering and angst she provokes in others. Her attack inflicts piercing damage (halves armor soak), and the Lolita regains one mote of Moe for every health level of damage her arrow inflicts on a living target. For an additional mote, the Loli can use this Charm even when out of ammo, shaping her Moe into a tiny razor-sharp crystal splinter that gives this Charm its name.

Black Feather Typhoon

  • Cost: 8 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Archery: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Black Crystal Splinter

The Gothic Lolita releases a contemptuous laugh and releases a volley of sharp black feathers. This is an area attack resolved with a Dexterity + Archery roll, with an accuracy bonus equal to the Loli’s Moe and a range of (Moe x 30) yards. The attack covers a circular area with a radius equal to the Lolita’s Moe in yards. Any creature who fails to dodge or parry the attack takes lethal piercing damage equal to the Lolita’s Dexterity + Moe, adding extra successes in the attack roll as normal.

Clouding Angst Arrow

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Archery: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Eyes of the Loli Arrow

The Gothic Lolita infuses her arrow with the core of her angst; infecting her target and making him (or her) reconsider the purpose and the point of his coolness (or her cuteness). The victim of the Loli’s attack is filled with boring negative thoughts that prevent him/her to act properly. The target takes a penalty to all dice pools equal to the number of health levels of damage inflicted until the end of the next turn. Multiple applications of this Charm are cumulative, but this Charm can’t reduce any dice pool below the victim’s permanent Moe.

Moment of Nothingness Technique

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Archery: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 1
  • Prerequisite Charms: None

For a fleeting moment, everything stops. There’s no wind, no space, no world around them. There’s only the Gothic Lolita and her unfortunate victim. The character may make an Archery attack without any environmental penalties of any sort.

Plasma Arrow

  • Cost: 3 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Archery: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Moment of Nothingness Technique

Lolita archers can afford to put up a fight even without a bow and ammunition, as they’re capable of creating arrows of pure Moe. Of course, their attacks are neither cute nor flashy; they’re terrifying in their darkness and efficiency. Still, the Loli has to announce her attack before launching it, but most prefer a quiet, almost inaudible whisper to the exhilarant battle cries of Magical Girls. The Plasma Arrow works as a normal Archery attack, but the Lolita adds twice her permanent Moe to the raw damage of the attack.

Coldness Overload Strike

  • Cost: 4 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Archery: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Clouding Angst Arrow, Plasma Arrow

This technique is overwhelming in many ways, a force that everyone not-Gothic fears and reckons in its might. The sheer coldness of this attack is comparable to the cold eyes of the most impressive Lolitas. This Charm makes the Archery attack supplemented by it undodgeable, as the target is stunned by a chilling coldness that numbs the bones and freezes the muscles.

Velka-Type Reloading Approach

  • Cost: -- (1 mote per arrow/2 motes if used without a bow)
  • Duration: Instant (Permanent)
  • Type: Special
  • Minimum Archery: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Plasma Arrow

Each such attack costs one mote of Moe. The Lolita can attack as if using any form of ammunition without Resources cost (broadhead, fowling, frog crotch or target arrows). If the character spends an additional mote per arrow, she can shape it and fire it even without the need for a bow.

This Charm permanently enhances the Exalt’s capabilities. Therefore, shaping motes into ammunition is an unrolled reflexive action and not a Charm activation.

Note: I will expand on the Velka System at some point in the future. It’s just too cool not to be exploited!

Many Eyes of the Gothic Lolita

  • Cost: 2 motes or 4 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Extra Action
  • Minimum Archery: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Coldness Overload Strike, Velka-Type Reloading Approach

Few remember that Gothic Lolitas, despite their obvious differences with other Exalts, also wield Moe. They can be as gracious and fluid are the prettiest mikos; and agile and mighty as the most joyous Magical Girls. This Charm allows the Lolita to launch a flurry of arrows at her foe. Each attack costs 2 motes, including the first; and the Lolita can buy up to (twice her Moe) attacks. Each arrow is fired using the Lolita’s full dice pool. The Gothic Lolita may not split her dice pool for additional extra actions.

Some Archery weapons, such as firewands and siege crossbows, are difficult to fire rapidly. Using this Charm with such weapons costs four motes rather than two motes on each attack.

Sudden Sad Look Arrow Style

  • Cost: 4 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Archery: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 2
  • Prerequisite Charms: Archery Insight of the Lolita

A Kawaii Lolita’s sad teary-eyed look can disarm even the mightiest, coolest bishounen. So do her arrows, disabling incoming ranged attacks before they reach her. The character makes a Dexterity + Archery roll with her full dice pool. If the successes attained equal or exceed the attacker’s successes, the incoming missile is deflected. A partial parry is not possible; this is an all-or-nothing attempt. Not just arrows, but any projectile may be turned aside (except for siege weaponry, of course).

Ghostly Loli Arrow

  • Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Subtle/Mental
  • Minimum Archery: 3
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Sudden Sad Look Arrow Style

Gothic Lolitas are always where they’re supposed to be, and they’re able to reach places most people believe they’ll never be able to go. The character infuses this aspect of her nature in her arrows. The Archery attack ignores and goes through non-living matter, so a Lolita could easily shoot through three walls to hit a target two rooms away, and the attack would ignore the target’s armor, if any. Of course, penalties for not being able to see or pinpoint the target apply normally, so she’d better have some way to know the exact position of her victim-to-be.

Cold Gust Defense

  • Cost: 5 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Re-Useless
  • Minimum Archery: 4
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Sudden Sad Look Arrow Style

Like the moment of silence following an embarrassing moment, the Lolita instills discomfort through her arrows, weakening and nullifying opponents’ attacks. The Lolita’s player rolls Dexterity + Archery; successes on this roll subtract from the successes of the attack the archer is attempting to deflect. If the archer exceeds the attack’s successes, immediately apply the remaining successes as an Archery attack against the character who launched the assault against which the Lolita is defending.

If the character puts this Charm in a Combo, the cost of this Charm increases to 8 motes.

Black Feather Armor

  • Cost: 1 mote per 1B/1L soak, 1 Willpower
  • Duration: One scene
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Archery: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 3
  • Prerequisite Charms: Cold Gust Defense

The character shapes her Essence in the form of a pair of impressive black wings, which do not allow the Exalt to fly but do increase her mobility and protect her from enemy attacks. The Black Feather Armor has a 1B/1L rating for every mote of Moe committed to it and has no mobility penalty or fatigue value. The Lolita’s running, sprinting and jumping distances are tripled while the armor is active. This armor is fully compatible with and additive to physical armor. The maximum rating of the armor is the Lolita’s Moe + Archery.

Starless Night Moe Stream

  • Cost: 1 mote per 2 damage dice
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Archery: 5
  • Minimum Moe: 4
  • Prerequisite Charms: Black Feather Typhoon, Many Eyes of the Gothic Lolita, Ghostly Loli Arrow, Black Feather Armor

Any incorporeal spirit struck by the Moe Stream manifests to all onlookers for the rest of the scene as a glowing, super-deformed, intangible apparition.

Reality Revision: Stars fall from the Heavens, and the Underworld Sings in Joy

  • Cost: 20 motes
  • Duration: Instant
  • Type: Speech
  • Minimum Archery: 6
  • Minimum Moe: 6
  • Prerequisite Charms: Starless Night Moe Stream

The Lolita rearranges existence and brings destruction from the sky to her enemies. This devastating technique can level down cities and armies in seconds……as it has done before……poor Windbloom.

Comments

Overall, again, very good. Just a few comments. Black Feather Armor doesn't really seem particularly like an Archery charm to me. Does Starless Night Moe Stream literally materialize the spirit or does it just make them visible? (Seems like the latter) Over all, very good, eager to see you do more! --JohnBiles

Black Feather Armor? I know, funny story, that Charm. I didn't really know where to put it. First I thought Athletics, but it doesn't really makes the body more athletic, it just gives you wings. I didn't put it in Resistance, 'cause it also increases running/sprinting/jumping distance. Then I realized: it's anime, everything doesn't have to make sense! Besides, if the Dragon-Blooded can have Thrown Charms that increase soak and Lore Charms that allow them to shoot fireballs, why can't I have my black wings Archery Charm? --Wings
P.D. Oh, yes! Starless Night Moe Stream only makes spirits visible! --Wings
