Scenerio Name: Opening Scene

Introduction: This is your first mission. Oh certainly, each of you have been on missions before, but always as an observer. This is the first time any of you have been primary operatives on any mission. You have not yet been assigned to a convention, though you have been approached and reviewed by the heads of each of the current conventions, and you suspect that some of the special conventions have sussed you out as well. This is your first opportunity to prove your capabilities. The mission itself is fairly straightforward. There is an anathema located on the Blessed Isle, she has been under surveillance for a time. Normally a Wyld hunt would be called for, but it she is located in a more populated part of town and the Immaculate Order would prefer to keep the furor and potential destruction which can occur when a Wyld Hunt is called out. The Sidereals who are involved in the immaculate order would like to see her terminated in a quiet manner with minimal collateral damage and disturbance of the populace. Traditionally, it would be a single experienced sidereal, possibly backed up by a few summoned elementals or little gods from Yu-Shan. However for this occasion they have chosen to send this band of sidereal initiation candidates. The Bureau of Destiny has officially sanctioned this mission. Apparently the Anathema, if left to her own devices, would have disrupted the Skein. The Anathema is currently located in a room at a small inn, The Quiet Repose, the local constabulary have been asked to surround the Inn and wait for your orders. These men are mortals, and should not be misused. Nor should they become aware of the supernatural nature of Sidereals.


Storyteller Plot Summary:

The Solar’s name is Dheleesa Star, but she is commonly called ‘Unity’. She is currently located on the Blessed Isle, searching for another newly erupted Solar. She has been working from the Quiet Repose searching the local area for the fresh Solar. She has been unsuccessful up until now, but has recently received some information that should lead her to him. Unfortunately, the players are about to show up and ruin her plans. Unity is aware of the existence of Sidereals, though not off the variance between the Bronze and Gold factions. She will assume the characters are Dragonbloods, but if their animas flare too much she will figure out that they are not. The mortal constables will not have waited and sent three men in. Unity will dispose of them. The player characters should appear as she has finished them. She will decide at that point to run. She will attempt to destroy the documents with her, but the characters may prevent this at the storyteller’s discretion.


Behind the Scenes:

Unity is part of a circle working with (for?) a Gold faction sidereal named Moyardi (serenity of the Convention of Wood) they have recently learned that a Solar was to erupt here from their patron. She has been investigating the area attempting to discern where he is.

She has a letter among her effects:

Unity, The One is about to become in the city of Bright Obelisk. The Unconquered Sun must have his reason for having chosen such a dangerous place. We could wait of course and see if The One can escape or his shard arrives elsewhere, but I think it would be best if we could retrieve him and complete our circle. If you are amenable to this, I have arranged funds for your transport and use on the isle. Unity, I believe the completion of our circle will allow us to make headway on our plans. Perhaps the Bull won’t be the first to the Blessed Isle. Wisdom Reborn
