Autochthonian Beam Weapons (Artifact 3-5)
The Autochthonians have made beam-based artifact weapons for their Chosen. In terms of appearance and functionality, these are the same as the Beam Klaves described in Exalted: The Autochthonians (pg 190-192). Except for adamant beam weapons, none of the beam weapons can have the Piercing tag. They do, however, all use the following new Tag-
- E- Energy weapon. User must commit 5 motes per scene to activate an energy weapon. Can light flammable things on fire. Mundane weapons used to parry a melee attack made with an energy weapon are destroyed. Unarmed parries can result in amputation of limbs if the parry was made by an extra (Heroic characters and Exalted only suffer 2L damage). A defender's parry DV is divided by 2 when using a non-magical weapon to parry an energy weapon. Non-magical armor and inanimate objects struck with an energy weapon has its bashing and lethal soak reduced by the raw damage (to a minimum of 0). Non-magical armor reduced to 0 soak in this way is destroyed and useless. Energy weapons consider an object's hardness to be half of what it would normally be. Only bladed weapons can have this tag.
The following is a list of beam weaponry and the weapon they derive their stats from.
